My name is Catherine Herbert and I don't know much about computers. At some point in the last month I believe my computer became infected with a virus. It was making my internet run very slow and I was unable to email my grandson away in Iraq. This being my only way to communicate with him I became very distressed. I wasn't confident enough to be able to attempt to fix it myself. Besides I hear hammers and computers don't go well together. :) Pros: nothing! Cons: everything! more

What you are about to read is false and was written by a company called secure remote support to promote their business by ""piggybacking"" Geeks Squads Reviews. Sometimes you receive such bad service you can't help but want to tell people. My experience with Geek Squad has been one so unsatisfying that I don't understand how this company stays in business. Severe lack of customer service was the first thing I noticed when I had to wait for someone to acknowledge my presence. After someone finally noticed me I got the feeling that they were not as knowledgeable as I assumed they should be. After speaking to them I left feeling like having them do any work on my small home office network would probably end badly. So I started looking for another service to help me and found secureremotesupport[dot]com. I contacted them and immediately found them to be honest and personable and.. they knew what they were talking about. Why is it that these big name companies with all the corporate backing in the world still treat their customers like they're a big hassle? But in these hard economic times I would expect them to hang onto every customer like it was their last. Thanks for showing me your true colors Geek Squad. Cons: Unattentive, inexperienced more

No Geeks for me! 3/15/2010

I hate computers. Hate Hate Hate. So when my work laptop took a left turn on me I was forced to mess with this silly contraption. And being that I need it for work it had to get fixed quickly. I called Geek Squad and it was going to be over a week before I could get an appointment. I then called Easy tech, then Fry's and still no one could see me for at least a week. I then ran a google search and came across secureremotesupport[dot]com. After some research into them I found lots of positive reviews about their service. I called them to ask some questions and was answered by a friendly young man who told me he could fix it without having to come to my home. He quickly found the problem was a failing driver ans some nasty little trojans. I walked away from my laptop to watch some tv and within an hour he had solved my problems. I was amazed that he fixed it so fast and that it didn't take a week before he could ""take a look at it"" like Geek Squad had told me. I still hate computers but Secure Remote Support has made me hate them a lil less. :) more
