Geek Squad

At one point or another we all need computer repair help and I am no different. I found myself in need at the worst possible moment. In the middle night, when everything is closed and the night before a report is due. I called Geek Squad online support for help and was charged for the $199 virus removal service. They connected to my pc and attempted to remove the problem. After a couple of hours and a whole lot of coffee and nail biting they call me back and say there is nothing they can do. This time, the guy I spoke to had a heavy accent and seemed to be calling from overseas. And long with this and the fact they said the virus is too embedded to be removed without causing further damage and system instability. I get off the disappointing phone call and am still sweating because this report is 35% of my overall grade in this course and I absolutely had to have this done in the morning. I run a quick Google search for a solution when I find SecureRemoteSupport[dot]com who provides online services and have a ?No Fix No Pay? guarantee. Wow that would be nice if Geek Squad offered the same promise. Within an hour they had diagnosed the virus and had removed it completely for $105. My experience with geek squad was not a pleasant one. I already was in a bad mood because of my best buy laptop was having virus problems but when I took it to the local Best Buy/geek Squad they just made matters worse. When they returned my macbook I found that somewhere in the process of them removing the virus' somehow they managed to delete alot of my personal files and photos. Anyway, after doing some research and coming across some reviews for secure remote support, i tried the out. $79.99 was the simple removal cost of the virus, and I was good to go. No problems, they got my data back for $99 as well. Im happy now, and pursueing geek squad with the better business bureau. Sloppy workmanship. I have seen some bad work before but these guys set the standard. I recently had my PC serviced by the geek squad for spyware and virus infections. After having my computer for a week they returned it and it seemed to be clear of the issues. A day later it started having the same problems. I called to alert the geek squad about the recurring problems when I was rudely berated with questions implying that I had reinfected it myself. I felt insulted by his implications and was offended that he would treat a customer like that. I finally was so upset that i just ended the call. Still needing my computer for schoolwork I started looking for alternatives. I cam across a review for secureremotesupport[dot]com. They were able to correct what geek squad was unwilling to do. There prices quite simply cannot be beat and they service people greet and treat every customer with respect and dignity. PROS: Everything electronic they have it, great prices CONS: Everyone needs to shop there more
