THE ONLY MUFFLER SHOP 8/3/2010

I was digging through my receipts for my Firebird and found them going back to 1995 at Garbs. The amazing thing is the SAME people still work there. Rickey and Devin are the ONLY muffler shop to touch my 89 Firebird Formula 350 in the last 15 years. My Flowmaster Muffler was coming apart and Rickey advised me he had a VX muffler that was just as good as Flowmaster. I like it better! Thanks again guys!\r Mike Pros: Professional Service Cons: NO CONS!! more

Great work at a great price 7/29/2010

I own a vehicle rental fleet and Garbs is the only place I send my trucks for muffler or converter work. We have been doing business with them for 17 years and I've never had a problem that they couldn't fix. They don't use the cheap foreign converter that go out in a week. They only use good ole made in the USA converters. Pros: Ricky is a wizard at bending pipe. more

Charged $110 for 45 mins labor. 1/14/2009

I was originally quoted at $60 over the phone to have my catalytic converters Installed. After paying to have my car towed to shop, I was told it would cost $110. When I asked why such a difference in price, I was ignored the first time but asked again anyway. The reason I was told is that there were two pipes on my cats, not one. Of course this is true for a number of 6 or 8 cylinder cars or truck. and they knew it was 6 cyl over the phone. I needed my car for work, and didn't feel like going through this routine so I paid. In the end, I paid $110 for 45 mins of work, or around $153 dollars an hour. To add insult, when I got my car, they didn't bother to even install it right. The muffler was almost touching my bumper, and it needed to be bent into proper place after leaving them. It looks horrible from behind. Long story , I was sorely taking advantage of by incompetent mechanics. Take your car to a decent shop instead. You have been warned. Pros: Hard to think of any. It was sunny? Cons: Quoted $60, charged $110 for 45 mins labor, installed incorrectly more
