Ganache Restaurant & Bakery

Their cakes used to be so amazing and creative. Now they only have a few bland and basic cakes to select from. What happened to the "bakery"? The food is great, but by no means is Ganahce a bakery in any manner nowdays! Greensboro has nothing for desserts anymore. It is such a shame. more

This is a fun place to go on date night or girls' night out! The food is good, but the desserts are divine! They have an interesting set-up. The restaurant is circular, and in the center, there are steps that lead to a roof-top terrace. If you are wishing you were at the beach, check out the terrace! There are large palm-like trees swaying in the breeze and the ambiance is perfect. If you enjoy martinis, you must try their key lime martini. The chocolate martini is also wonderful. Yum Yum! more

Ganache has an amazing assortment of scrumptious desserts! When you walk in and see their dessert area, you will think you have died and gone to dessert heaven! Being a big fan of NON-chocolate desserts, I absolutely love going to Ganache's because I never have a problem finding a non-chocolate dessert. My problem there is deciding WHICH dessert to have. Prices are high - but then it is a 5 star bakery/restaurant so one expects higher prices in this type of establishment. The food (dessert and meals) is delicious! Definitely worth the price! Definitely a great date night restaurant for a meal. My husband surprised me with a carrot cake from Ganache on Valentine's Day. It was divine! And they were even accomodating as to make it without nuts as requested by my husband. Staff is always friendly. Parking is limited. more

If you are downtown and want to eat somewhere a little trendy, stop into Ganache. Their bakery is amazing and will have you drooling as you are taken to your table. You can even purchase huge cookie boxes and give them as gifts (this has saved me many times in the gift department). The rooftop is by far the best seating, so the best time to go is in the spring or in the late summer/early fall when the weather is the best. Sit on the rooftop, eat a delicious lunch for around $10 and enjoy one of their toffee cookies for dessert. There is always art on the walls and the wait staff is heavenly! more
