Fung Wah is ok 9/21/2009

Fung Wah Bus used to be located outside, on Beach street. They made money so changed their location to 700 Atlantic Avenue. Their buses leave every 30 minutes. It's very convenient to travel from Boston to Nyc and Nyc to Boston. The price is good $15 one way compare to so much more at Greyhound. They also have deals online. The staff is not mixed at all because as we all know asians don't mix with other people. They just stick with their own race. It's good but bad too. I like that a lot of people are working so the business is creating a lot of jobs. The buses are decent. It's not a special bus for rich people. Some yelpers are complaining listen guys if you have a OCD problem don't take the bus. They have convenient plastic bags attached on the side of seats. I think it's a great thing so people won't throw their trash all over the bus. People should understand that's it's not Fung Wah Bus fault it's the customers. They are the one who are trashing the bus, they are the disgusting ones. The restrooms are ok but I dislike the grafittis inside. Some are mean and they talked shit about the company. I believe some stupid kids and adults wrote them. I take the Fung wah couple times a year with my mother and sometimes alone. I never had any major problem. One day the bus driver had to stop the bus because of a ac problem but it's was only for a few minutes. This company had issues in the past. They had a few accidents and a lawsuit. The lawsuit was a discrimination lawsuit. I was shocked to find out that it's was not about them being racist against black people, as we all know asians are very racist towards black people. I will say even more than whites. It's the truth so don't even try to tell me otherwise. If some asians are not then it will be a small percentage of 1%. January 2004 Fung Wah refused to sell tickets to a disabled blind couple because they were travelling with their guide dog. They had a policy barring pets from buses. The couple went to court and won, they won some cash $10, 000. They had to adjust more

Pack your bags, or not. 8/14/2005

If you're shopping for transportation to and from New York City, Fung Wah Bus Transportation is your most inexpensive option. Prices have risen, mind you, since officials forced the company from its Chinatown operations to South Station Bus Terminal, but it is still the cheapest ticket in town. $40 gets you a round ticket from Boston to New York Chinatown, but be ready to stand in line if you want to take any scheduled bus. You'll also want to stay away from the back of the bus where the bathroom quickly becomes repugnant. more

Cheap 8/5/2005

It is very ghetto...the bus is small but is relatively inexpensive. It is much cheaper than those greyhound buses. The bathroom in there smells, though. I would not recommend sitting in the back. They give one pit stop between Boston and New York City and vice versa, too. If you are on a budget and want to travel, then this is the bus for you. more

Great price, but dirty 8/5/2005

I took this bus from Boston - NY, it only costs $15.00 one way. Very cheap, however it is really dirty especially when you are force to use the rest room in the bus. Don't ever go into the restroom otherwise you will have a nightmare. Another thing, even though you have the ticket they usually do first come first serve so come early so you can claim your seat. Otherwise, you have to wait for the next bus. more

Fung Wah Bus - Chinatown to Chinatown 7/22/2005

The infamous Chinatown to Chinatown bus service from Boston to New York City is a popular means of transportation for college students going to the Big Apple for a day trip. Tickets are $15 each way, much cheaper than Greyhound, but there are some disadvantages. The buses are tiny, usually smell of some kind of food, and Jackie Chan movies play nonstop on the small TV screens. However, if you're willing to suck it up to go to New York, then Fug Wah is the way for you. more
