Fry's Electronics

I was expecting some huge warehouse of savings. While the selection is awesome, the prices are not that low and we kept shocking each other the whole time we were in there, the amount of static electricity in the air was a little scary. The store is really neat though with it's own cafe in the center. Neat store to visit, but not the best prices around. more

I bought a computer from Fry's and I guess I just assumed it was going to be an easy process. Since it was a floor model, I decided to upgrade the memory and they did have to restore it back to the original manufacturer's settings. Anyway, 2 hours later, I walked out with my computer. They have you jump through MANY hoops in order to even buy the thing and don't even get me started on upgrading the memory. I will say, they have a very good system as far as checking out goes and always plenty of registers open. Beware, their sales people do work on commission so they can be pretty annoying at times. more

what a great electronics store. they have anything and everything you could ever think of. the store is huge so it is easy to get lost looking for certain items. the sales team also gets confused sometimes. they advertise in the paper and do have some pretty good sales. i know at last year at christmas they had some really good sales but was limited quantities and the line to get in was outrageous. more

I am so impressed by its size and amount of brands. Even though it is a little far from the central area of Houston, it is still a good place to be. As the other new Fry's Electronics opened in the south area of Houston. The customers are distributed by their home address. Fry's Electronics is also a very good place for the Black Friday Deals. However, the only way to get the information of the deals is through the Houston Chronicle. The website does not reflect the deal. more

If you are building your own computer or simply need something computer-related, Fry's is the place to go. Not only do each of their stores have a different theme, but they have the largest electronic and computer related stock of any store I have ever been to. Although buying a pre-built computer there is rather expensive, Fry's is more geared to the computer and technology enthusiasts who love to build things from scratch. In this regard, you can find a lot of things on sale, much lower than you can find at Best Buy or Circuit City sometimes. They have a cafe if you just want to stop after walking around the HUGE store, but there is always something there to enthrall even the most extreme luddite. Fry's Electronics is your place to go for electronics, computer parts, and even appliances! more

This is a big store with a good selection of electronics, computers and parts, movies, games and more. It is clean and organized but may can confusing because of it's size. My husband likes to shop here as do most of my male relatives. They have some good sales sometimes. You just have to watch their ads that come in the Houston Chronicle. more
