I didn't even know they were still open, if that tells you anything. They are dirty, but have a decent selection of ornament around Christmas for good prices.

A Gardener's Delight! 11/14/2005

Fruitbasket Flowerland is the gardener's and crafter's dream store! Outside, it has a huge variety of shrubs, trees, bushes, and plants in the spring. Their helpful employees will assist you with picking out just the right foliage for your landscaping. In the winter, they carry a wide variety of Christmas trees too. On the inside, they have all of your gardening tool needs, as well as a large selection of crafting needs. Items such as yarn, beads, scrapbooking materials, woodworking materials, fabric, paints and much more are always in stock. more

Flowers, crafts, gardening and more 9/12/2005

Fruit Basket has been around as long as I can remember. It is a fixture in Grand Rapids where you can always count on beautiful flowers, outdoor plants and bushes and craft supplies. They have a year guarantee on bushes that have been purchased there if you save your receipt. When I had to return a couple of bushes that died 9 months after they were planted, they returned my money-no problem. The nursery manager then helped me for at least a 1/2 hour looking for bushes that would better suit my home. Love them! more

Fruitbasket Flowerland 8/16/2005

I have shopped at this place many times and I always seem to have the same experience. I believe they are over priced. I can get the same flat of flowers at a different store for much less then they sell it. The store is also outdated and looks dirty all the time. Perhaps a face lift would help. For me, I would rather drive a little farther to a place I feel i am getting a good deal at and enjoy shopping in! more

Flowerland Is a Good Local Store 8/7/2005

Fruitbasket flowerland is a nice place to shop, and does offer bargains for the savvy shopper. However, the last few times I have visited the store, I have found it to be dirty, and haven't been able to get the help that I needed. I was looking for Christmas trees and wasn't given very useful advice on how to plant or care for the tree. If flowerland wants to stay alive agains the big boys ( HD and Lowe's ) they need to improve their customer service and store clenliness. more
