Just a great family vacation. Its so nice to just sit and relax. We stayed at Cabin #10, which is one of the secluded cabins. We were surronded by trees and couldn't see another cabin. I've never stayed anywhere else like this, in this area. The deer came right up to our cabin, but only when the kids were asleep;) We went hiking at Garner State Parking. There are easy trails for kids too or if you want to bike. There is a rope swing at Garner that my son loved. We fished by our cabins and went horse back riding - very close by. This place came recommended to me and I recommend it as well. more

Just got back from another visit! We always have such a great time. We love the Frio River! Tubing was good this year. more

Stay here! 10/21/2011

My kids absolutely loved this place! The adults did too, but we come for the kids. The river was perfect for ALL of our kids. We have some young ones and some in their teens. So it was important to us to find some where everyone is happy. Frio River Cabins is that place! There is shallow and deep parts of their river. The owners were great too! We got to spend time petting their horses and looking for eggs their chickens lay. It was great for the kids. The cabins aren't side by side so you dont feel cramped. There is also a lot of land and river to use. The cabins were clean and that made me very happy! There is a BBQ pit and fire ring outside that made my husband happy. \r \r All in all everyone had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back. We found our family vacation spot!! more

We went with a large group of families to spend a week at the Frio River. We had a great time. The cabins were clean, well maintained and close to the park and river. I would highly recommend staying at these cabins. The family that owns and operates them are delightful. Pros: clean, isolated more
