waiting on title since 09/13/14 still no title in hand. 9/23/2014

Traded trucks with Friendly Ford late in the evening on 09/13/14. I was promised by Mike Dancy that I would receive my title in 5 to 7 days today is 09/23/14 and still no title in hand. I was told today, by Suzie, that she was putting title in the mail today. Suzie did not know why I was lied to. All the paper work was completed on 09/13/14, it is unexcusable for any dealership to be this tardy in mailing the title. I cannot reccommend this dealership to anyone. I was also pressured very strongly by the financial person, Mike Dancy, to purchase a warranty on the truck that I was trading for. I was told that this dealership would not give any kind of a warranty on this used vehicle. I was buying the 2009 Dodge pickup with 42,00 miles on it, as, is no warranty. If this truck had not been exactly what I was looking for I would have walked out on them. more

Used Truck Sales 2/27/2013

My experience with Friendly Ford, Springfield was diametricly opposed to those who have complained about bad deals or something. I traded cars with them and as far as sales go my experience with them was spot on. I gave them four stars only because I think they could have given me a bit more for my trade. Great Cars! Great Staff and Service! 3/5/2012

We purchased a wonderful Certified PreOwned Fusion recently and had another great experience. We purchase every couple of years and get all of our service work done at Friendly Ford. Dealing with Cathy, Tim, Justin and Andrew in the buying process, (and Joel and Jeff in service) has been a really nice experience. We've had our disagreements when reaching a final sales price. That is part of the process though, we all know that. In fact the only negative experience that I've had at Friendly Ford is the few customers I had the joy of listening to that felt like they have to be the center of attention. You know the ones that are habitual complainers, that nothing will ever satisfy them? The people you HEAR when Christmas shopping. The one that has to cause a scene. Yes, I had the privilege of watching adults unhappy with their own financial situation, (that they did to themselves), try to take out their frustrations on a couple of very nice sales people and managers just to make it appear to be someone else's fault. STAY AWAY!!! Friendly Ford used illegal and criminal sales tactics to force me to buy Warranty, GAP, and Tire and Wheel Protection. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP! They are liars, thieves, and outright criminals. Seriously, if you want to get RIPPED OFF, go to Friendly Ford, Inc. in Springfiled, MO. They would be more than happy to ram you hard. They will put the screws to ANYONE! They have no conscience! more

Not so "friendly" 7/12/2011

I purchased my car from here, and I've had my oil changed there since I purchased it (probably 6 times). Every time I have gone, the wait has been 2-3 hours and the service has been poor. The people are always disrespectful. The last time I went was my last. Why? I informed them that my front right tire was leaky, and they informed me that they "took care of it." They also "rotated my tires." Well, a couple weeks later, my tire was low again. Ironically, it was the front right. Not only did they not rotate my tires, but they didn't fix it. They didn't even seem to care when I called to complain. Who knows what else they didn't fix on my car when I've brought it in. I do not recommend them whatsoever. more

Good deal/Mediocre Service 5/14/2011

I got a good deal on a vehicle which was on sale 2 days prior to purchase and they allowed me to purchase the car at the sale price even though it was no longer on sale and was well below retail value. The staff was hassle free and friendly; however, I did feel as though the staff was not very educated on the car I was purchasing, I would asked questions and never get a straight answer. It was a lot of "I think..." and "I'm not sure" answers. The total time spend at the dealership was a little too long for my liking, right around the 5 hour mark (included test drive, paperwork, financing, and detailing). The one thing I disliked the most was the finance guy. He makes up for the hassle-free salesmen. He was very persistent on the extended warranty, to the point of annoyance. I rate this dealership at 3 stars because I liked the hassle free service, I greatly appreciated their cooperation on the sales price, but the finance guy, the time to purchase the car, and the lack of knowledge on the salesman's part reduced my level of satisfaction with Friendly Ford. more

UNBELIEVABLE 3/8/2011

I have been looking for a truck for a few weeks and finally deceided to purchase one from Friendly Ford where I or my company have previously purchased several vehicles. After coming to an agreement on the sales price of a new 2010 F150 Lariat, I was notified 30 minutes later that they had made a mistake and couldn't sell me the vehicle at that price. The worst part is that the general manager or owner didn't even have the decency to call me themselves, they just had the salesperson do their dirty work. To say that this is bad business is obviously an understatement. more

The Service after the sale is great 11/12/2010

I got a great deal from the friendly staff on my first new Ford. The experience was great and I had a good feeling after I drove away with my new car. The experience did not stop there though. I have been using their service department for my oil changes etc. and i'm always greeted with a smile and the charges for the work are very reasonable. I don't know about some of the other reviews here, but I for one will recommend this dealership to anyone that wan't to be taken care of properly. more

Best dealer around 12/12/2009

I loved the atmosphere at this dealership. They do things the way people like it. None of the pushy salespeople or service managers trying to constantly upsell. I feel that is the other poster were to go back and talk to them, they will make sure that the problem will be resolved. I have been using this place for years and would not consider going anywhere else. more

Rip-off Alert 12/10/2009

Never, ever take your car to Friendly Ford for service. We were rear-ended and the driver's seat was damaged so that it wouldn't sit up all the way. They said it was just fine, it won't even sit up even with the passenger seat! Also, we took our Crown Vic. in for an alignment and they wanted $75 to adjust a simple screw! They didn't even do the alignment! Drive a little bit out of the way and go to another dealership. Vote with your money! more

Yes, this is the largest Ford dealer in Springfield, but if you want a Ford, all you have to do is drive a little bit out of your way to one of the outlying towns, and you will find that the extra drive was worth your time. That is because you will not get the best deal here, and you will haggle with the salespeople but they will never give in! If you see something you want, in a specific model or color, then go to another dealer and ask them to get it for you. The service at this dealership is really lacking! more

Pushy salespeople, nice cars 10/3/2005

This is one of the biggest car lots in Springfield. And it shows. The salespeople are nice enough, however, you never forget that theyre there to make money - off of you. The selection of automobiles is great. Management seems to have problems though. Turnover and all that. No one ever really seems to know what anyone else is doing. more

Rip Off! 8/18/2005

Trying to buy a car is not fun add these jokers to the mix and your in for an awful experience. Let me tell you my story and you can decide. I picked out a car on the lot, drove it, liked it and wanted to buy it. Went to speak with the finance guy who states “not a problem” 3 hours later they want my mother (I was 22!) to co-sign. Ok fine whatever – so I get her approval to sign her...Computers go down (sure!) and cant seal the deal right now but for sure in the morning. I write a check and was told it would NOT be cashed until paperwork is signed. I leave for the night and the car stays there on the lot. Next day – no deal AND they cashed the check!!!So now Im out my deposit and still have no car. It took 8 days – 8 DAYS to refund my money. I will NEVER buy from there. Ever! The salesman stick and lie and they have horrible customer service. more
