We had a fantastic dinner at the Friendly Fisherman - the cocktails were also good. Try the shrimp/scallops platter - it was outstanding! The service was very good, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. more

Great prices and staff 8/1/2011

Loved the broiled seafood platter. Prices are reasonable and waitress was very helpful. As a single diner, this was a great place with a view of the water and for people watching, while I am eating. more

Great service great food 7/29/2011

I had the blackened salmon salad and my husband had the fish and chips, both were excellent. Our server (Nicole) was responsive to every need. We ate there on a Monday and it was not busy. We give this place 4 thumbs up based on our experience, and we do not usually rate restaurants so highly. Prices did not seem out of line for the quality of the (always) fresh seafood. Dining area and rest rooms were well maintained. more

Very enjoyable dinner for us 7/26/2011

My husband and I shared a big platter of food, it was less than $20 for that. Had a children's menu, which made us all happy, especially our young daughter. We will go back. We enjoyed watching the people walk by on the pier right outside our window. Very enjoyable dinner for us. more

Good food and reasonable prices. 11/4/2006

We have gone to the Friendly Fisherman for breakfast, lunch, and dinner over the years. We tend to sit in the casual part downstairs. However, there is air-conditioning on the second floor. This restaurant is actually on the boardwalk of John's Pass. Right now they are pulling up the planks of wood and replacing them with new. This is right were this restaurant is so we gave it a miss this year. We have really enjoyed going to eat there over the past 19 years. Yes, it has been around a long time, 28 years to be exact. So if you want a drink and a sandwich, or a dining experience overlooking the water, then this could be the place for you. http:/www.friendly-fish.com more

Amazing Views 7/23/2005

The Friendly Fisherman is located in John's Pass, on Madeira Beach. The waterfront views here make this a great relaxing place to end your day. The food here is excellent and they actually have a fairly extensive menu offering everything from seafood to steaks. The lunch menu is very reasonably priced. If you are not in the mood for seafood, their cheeseburger is excellent. Fun place to take the kids and watch the dolphins as you are enjoying your meal. more
