A Unique Salon with Great Service in the Heart of Oakhurst! 3/15/2009

Fresche is highly recommended!!! It is always a little nerve racking to go to a new salon. The moment I walked into Fresche, I was greeted by smiles and positivity. The salon is very clean and comfortable. The entire staff is friendly and very professional. I've been there a few times and each time, the customers faces are filled with happiness. I'm confident that all the stylists at Fresche can create a great look for you while providing the personal attention you deserve. I got an amazing haircut by Philippa! She worked very closely to ensure each piece of hair had the flow and style I was looking for. It is a beautiful cut and I will return to her for many cuts in the future. I've received many compliments on my hair and know if you book an appointment there, you will too! Aimee treated me to a luxurious manicure and pedicure. I highly recommend taking advantage of these amazing services! Aimee made me feel very relaxed and did a wonderful job of making my nails look beautiful. Thank you!!!!! 2/5/2009

Wow? I have found the first person to truly understand what I want my hair to look like. I have to say I was a little nervous to just walk into a salon and have them cut my hair. I walked into Fresche and not five minutes later was introduced to A.J. I have to say he was great to talk to and very easy to communicate with, I have had a few bad haircuts in my lifetime and this has to be one of the best ones I have had. He listened to everything I told him and taught me a few new ways to style my hair. He also suggested some products to help make my life easier when it comes to styling my hair everyday. All I have to say is I found my new stylist and can?t wait to see him next week for my highlights. Thanks A.J.!!!! See ya, FCA more

Absolutely fantastic service!! Best Salon anywhere! 1/26/2009

I read a few reviews online about Fresche, and it sounded like the place to go after my home hair-bleaching disaster. The staff was wonderful and caring. They were able to squeeze me in within 24 hours. My stylist, Wendy, was magnificent! She listened to me, and was teaching me hair techniques throughout the process of my color correction. I like that the concern was more about the integrity of my hair, rather than the overall color result. I walked in very nervous, but came out jumping for joy. The salon is beautiful, and not stuffy or uncomfortable like other big salons. The staff makes you feel at home. I will definately be back to see Wendy. Thank you guys so much! Cons: None more

Best salon experience 11/21/2008

I love Fresche. I've been going to Fresche and seeing Joi for at least 4 years so it was about time that I wrote a review. I moved to Atlanta in 2004 and I was looking for a salon where I could go and feel comfortable. I've been highlighting my hair since I was 15, so I knew for sure that I wanted to stay away from big, busy uptight salons where they always shuffle you around and you end up spending your entire day there. It never takes more than 2 hours to highlight, cut and blow-dry my hair. And Joi always starts by looking at your hair and asking you what you want... which I love!! because you hair can change and she doesn't assume you want the same thing. I always look forward to my appoitment because I know it'll be a relax time and I will love my hair afterward. I've had some rough times these last few months so going there and talking to Joi and the staff that always make you feel so good it's priceless. Pros: Professional staff, great results, relax environment... all of it!!! Cons: No cons... more

Great Experience! 10/6/2008

I recently visted this salon for the first time and had a great experience! The atmosphere was very relaxing & calm. It was refreshing to visit a salon where I was not shuffled from seat to seat because of overbooking/overcrowding and there were no loud music or obnoxious staff members gossiping (very professional) On top of the environment, the professional I saw was very kind (not pushy or obnoxious, finally!!). In addition, I did not spend my whole day in the salon, although I received a cut color treatment. I hate when I visit a salon and am literally there for 4 hours because of the shuffling/scheduling issue. I am quite happy with my hair cut ~ very cute and tailored to my hair texture & face/body shape. The prices were affordable too, especially compared to other 'high end' salons. I will definitley return!! Pros: professional, mature, creative staff. Cons: hi/lowlights look a bit washed out :( maybe it's my hair? more

So why are you looking for a new or different salon? Let me guess--you're uhhappy with your style. Or your stylist doesn't listen to you, just makes remarks such as, "Trust me--you'll love this"--and then you don't? Maybe you feel intimidated by the terminally hip "mystique" that pervades the salon, the judgmental glances from the receptionist or even from your stylist. But you think you have to put up with this--not to mention exhorbitant prices and traffic--to look good. Surprise! In the funky little Decatur village of Oakhurst, help awaits! And not just "hair" help--a soothing, restorative atmosphere that puts you into a good mood even before the scissors have touched your locks. It's not just a haircut. It's a therapeutic experience. :-) (But even if it were "just a haircut," it's still the best cut I've ever had.) See for yourself! Pros: Please read my review :-) Cons: Can't think of any.... more

I have been to alot of salons in Atlanta and other cities and seen alot of hairstylist....young, old, experienced and new. So I went to fresche as a new client and saw Lori. She is young - which is good I think because she has new ideas, but I was amazed at how experienced she is and how wonderful her haircuts are. She took her time, offered great advice, and gave me the best haircut I've ever had! I also talked to her about my color which I plan to go back and have her do. She is new to the salon which made me a little skeptical about it at first- but I am SO happy that I went to her - she is obviously not new at doing hair! I loved everything about my haircut, the environmentally friendly products and my experience at the salon! Want my suggestion? Go see Lori at fresche. Pros: Cute salon, great location, very friendly Cons: none that I can think of more

I never take the time to write a review, but after my experience at Fresche I just had to. My best friend recommended that I go there and boy, do I owe her!!! I am a single mom so, needless to say, I have not had my hair done in a while!!! But I decided it had been long enough and I needed to pamper myself. I must say, I was a little intimidated at first because I knew how good the reviews were. But as soon as I walked in, I knew I was going to have an wonderful experience...the staff is SOOOOOOOO amazingly friendly. My appointment was with Philippa and she really did an AMAZING job!!! Like I said, I'm a single mom so money is pretty tight for me. And it's often been my experience that when you go in to get your hair done and you try and "cut corners" the stylist usually gets a little frustrated. Not Philippa!!! She took the time to really listen to me, made her suggestions and then, voila...she worked her magic! I am so happy with my hair, I will never go to anyone else. Oh, did I mention I live in Macon??? Seriously, I will make the drive to have her do my hair. For years I have been trying to get someone to color my hair this way and I've never been satisfied. She did an amazing job and I just want to thank her and the entire staff for making my experience so unforgettable. Although I won't be able to go in as much as I would like, you've definitely made a customer for life. THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!!!! We moved from East Cobb to the city of Decatur so going to my ""regular"" stylist at Three-13 was not really an option I wanted to consider. I (of course) went to CitySearch and found Fresche. It was a toss up between Grow and Fresche but the hours and availability at Fresche won over, especially since they were the winner of ""Best of"" in 2006 and are open 7 days a week!!! I had initially wanted to see Tiffanie since she is in nearly every review, but Taryn was available the next day and was nothing but sweet and attentive. She has cut my hair once (plus one touch up) and is wonderful. I have another appointment scheduled for color this week and I confident she will exceed my expectations. Pros: Open 7 days a week!!! more

Nice salon, but over-rated 2/4/2008

I think this is a nice salon - friendly staff, never have to wait long. I've been slightly disappointed with my hair color though. I have read all the recommendations and I think this salon is good, but not as great as it's made out to be. I have noticed that my colorist does not place my highlights that close to the root. As a result, I have to go to the salon more frequently for touch-ups. The last time I had my hair highlighted here, I noticed that my roots were still showing in places. I was charged $100+ and it really didn't look like I had my hair done. I haven't had this happen at other salons. I was a little disappointed because of the hype. This is definitely not the best hair color I've ever had and I don't think I'll be returning to this salon. more
