Terrible Customer Service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 6/15/2008

My family of 4 arrived around 8pm on a Saturday Night. There was a pretty good sized line to get in and get seated which is expected. The problems started when the hostess would seat two groups from one line and then a group from the line that my family was in. When I said something to her, she said that she was pulling from each line even though there were other people in my line that agreed with me. So, that was the first thing which bothered me, but easily forgotten about , until we went to get dessert. It was 9:15, keep in mind they close at 10:00pm, and we went to the dessert bar to discover that almost all the cakes and pies were being put away. Even other guest were making comments about the slim pickings on the desserts. I decided to get some soft serve ice cream when I asked the lady behind the counter for some chocolate ice cream she said she was out of chocolate that there was vanilla or pineapple. I asked why there was not any chocolate, she said because her boss wants her to clean one of the machines before she leaves at 9:30pm. I said that is not right because the restaurant is open until 10:00pm. So I said let me talk to your manager. The manager came out and I explained what was bothering me and he said that he had to have her start cleaning up early because if they worked overtime they would get written up. How unprofessional is that!!!! It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that if the restaurant closes at 10:00pm you might need your closing shift to leave at 10:30 or 10:45 and you would just schedule them that way so you did not have to worry about overtime. I thought that was a poor excuse and even though the food was pretty good I was left with a sour taste in my mouth because of the crappy service. I will never eat at that buffet again. I feel that service is what makes or breaks any business, and this restaurant just lost my business. Pros: ok food Cons: terrible customer serviced and kids charged same as adults more

It is getting better 3/15/2007

March 10, 2007 Went for lunch and was expecting what I experienced a year ago. They added a certain quality to everything. This was true especially for the ribs. The meat ribs at the carving station were exceptional. As for the pork KC stlye they were a little dry but still very tasty. This is by far a better than average buffet, and the price is right. Pros: ribs, service more

Excellent mid-priced buffet 11/19/2006

We eat at the breakfast buffet at the Orleans frequently while vacationing in Las Vegas. Variety is the key and the quality/price quotient is high. A variety of fresh fruit is available, as well are made to order eggs including omlets. The Mexican section is open in the morning so I frequently assemble my own huevos rancheros. The usually assortment of breakfast fare is available including some unusual items including sweet potato pancakes. I am always attracted the baked ham at the carving station as well as the corned beef hash. Unlike some other buffets, the dessert station is open in the morning. As noted previously, this buffet becomes bargain priced with the use of the 2/1 coupon in the American Casino Guide. Pros: Mid-priced, good quality, 2/1 coupon available more

Great Choice and Value for Breakfast 11/16/2006

Gave this a try based on glorious reviews from friends. It was a great choice. We used the 2for1 coupon from The American Casino Guide for our weekday breakfast buffet. All items were fresh and selections were plentiful. The lines were never long and the service for beverages was very efficient. Cheese blintzes are excellent and I was so amazed by the selections of desserts, especially sugar free choices. This buffet will be in our plans for our next trip. Pros: Value, Service, Selection of Food Items more

Plenitful 11/3/2006

Great food at a great price. Lines were never too long and the service is great. The food choices were plentiful and kept nice and hot. For dinner you are provided with a glass of wine for each guest. Very nice touch. The only drawback is the kids that are left unattended at the buffet and wreak havoc on the place. Pros: Great Food, Great Prcie Cons: Kids left unattended more

Providing a "special" seafood buffet on a Monday in the desert has to be one of the best jokes in the culinary industry. Welcome, tourists! more
