I had been searching for a new vehicle for a few weeks and happened to stop by Fred Caldwell Chevrolet. I have been to many dealerships during our search but it is rare to find one where you don't feel like you are getting tackled as you step out of the car. From the minute I stepped onto the lot I felt comfortable and welcomed by the entire Fred Caldwell team and never did my wife or I feel pressured. That is what made this experience top notch in my book. Our salesman was very knowledgable about the car we purchased, even though it turned out being a non-chevy used vehicle with extremely low miles (might as well been new). It just speaks to the effort and thoroughness of the team at this dealership. The experience was super. After the test drive, they even let us take it for a longer duration to be able to see if it would fit in the garage/fit into our daily routine without the typical hassle of talking numbers and other high pressured sales tactics. - I have never enjoyed purchasing a car because A) Poor Sales tactics and Customer Service and B) you never know if you are getting a good deal. I know I got a good deal and the service was 5 star - they beat all others in charlotte metro area. They were fair with my trade as well. Much different experience than going to the chevy dealership off of South Blvd a couple of years ago. Needless to say, I walked away but if I had gone here, I know it would have been different. If you are thinking about buying a chevy or another used car, give these guys a chance to earn your business. It is worth the drive here because these people know how to treat customers. :) Very happy with our purchase - they have earned my business the next time we need a vehicle. Thanks again! more

THE BEST DEALERSHIP IN THE CAROLINA'S BAR NONE!!! 3/4/2009

I refer ALL of my friends and family to this dealership for both Sales & Service. I first serviced my old car there b/c I had heard of their outstanding service dep't. I had a major repair come up just outside of my warranty (for over $1500). The service dep't. got it taken care of for me under warranty. IT WAS AWESOME, who does that kind of thing?! I later decided to upgrade my car and went to Jerry Theimer in the sales department. He listened to what I wanted in my new car and paid special attention to my financial needs as well. Then Jerry got the exact used car I wanted, GM Certified too. He went all the way to Ohio to get it!! I will always go to Fred Caldwell Chevy for anything I need regarding my car, they're the best dealership I have ever encountered. Thanks... Pros: TOTAL PROFESSIONALS Cons: N/A more

Worst Service ever 1/29/2009

This company provide the worst service ever. I bought two vehicles from them on the same day. The first was a 2007 Hyundai and the second was a Colorado Pick-up Truck. The car I was extremely pleased with; haven't had a bit of problem with it at all. The truck however, was nothing but problems from the word ""go"". Within the first week we had to take it back because of headlight failure and parking brake failure. Then we waited 2 weeks and got it back. I had it for about 2-3 days and the rear tire fell off going down the road. I called them to find out what to do about it and they fixed it but only after giving me a hard time about paying for half of the damages, which by the way, I did not pay. more
