Everything and More - Perfecto! 5/19/2007

I read the reviews on Frasca and so we went there for our 3rd anniversary. It was everything that I expected and much much more. My wife and I agreed that it was probably the best dining experience we've had in Boulder. The staff knew the menu and the wine list thoroughly. The food was expertly prepared and delicious. Perfecto! more

We are lucky to have this in Boulder. 1/31/2006

I travel a lot, and eat out a lot; Frasca generally takes the cake in all categories, across geographies. Highly professional staff (from bus boys to hosts); they always make you feel welcome and like they want/need your business. Consistently dressed, low turnover. The food is always delicious and simple. The desserts and truffles are all made in house, and will knock your socks off. The sommelier's know their game; this is one of few restaurants where I will completely put myself in their hands. Things can be a bit on the salty side, so if you don't like salt, you might want to eat elsewhere. Old stalwarts of Boulder's "best" (Flagstaff House for example) can't hold an candle to Frasca. The recommendations for change I have are: - Get rid of the bar. People go here for the food and service, not for drinks. - Expand the tawny port selection. - Allow folks to make reservations more than two months out. more

Simple elegance with spectacular eats and service 9/6/2005

Creative and delicious dishes! Frasca lacks the typical pretentious nature of similar gourmet restaurants but still provides excellent, professional, and friendly service. The cuisine is inspired by Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy and the wine list is extensive. Both owners attended our table throughout the night (Master Sommelier and Chef). Excellent dining experience from beginnng to end. I would recommend reservations due to the popular nature of the restaurant. more

Frasca Food & Wine 5/5/2005

I have eaten at Frasca a number of times and it compares favorably with the best restaurants in the country The chef was just named one of Food & Wine Magazines 10 best new chefs, and it is clear why The menu is consistantly interesting, the food preparation is great, and the service is top-notch The wine list is very well done, and has both quality and variety without exorbitant mark-ups Frasca is clearly the hottest new restaurant to join the Boulder scene in quite a while, and it's a great addition more

Best Restaurant in Boulder in 2005 5/4/2005

Frasca is just awesome. This was my second time there and it was as good (or better) then my first time. The service was superb - there were six of us at a table in the middle of the very crowded restaurant yet everyone disappeared into the background. We were there from 6:15 to 9:15 and didn't ever feel rushed. The food was spectacular - as good as any top tier place in NY or the bay area. I had: - Olives spices almonds and cashews - Frico (cheese crisp thing) - Home made ricotta cheese and stewed spring rhubarb and toasted pistacios - Salt butter poached hawaiian kampachi fish with oven roasted tomatoes, spring fava beans and cure organic farms sorrel salad - Peanut butter cup dessert I'm not a drinker, but everyone that was said the wines were great and well matched. more
