Kind of Iffy 8/3/2009

Although I liked the lay out of my apartment, the size and having washer and dryer in unit, there were still a lot more cons to living here. The office staff is not very helpful or nice. They love to leave notices on your door that are taken off in the wind. Their communication is horrible. But I will say the maintenance people are very friendly. Another problem is the trash is far away from most apartments. I had to drive all the way around the complex to the other side to get to the dumpster. One of the worst things is the parking! If I come home after 6pm I can never find a spot. I usually end up having to park in front of the pool or a few times I have had to even park on the other side of the complex. There is no assigned resident parking so when people have friends over they take all the spots. There are also a lot of families with more than one car that take all the spots as well. A great deal of Hispanics have moved in. I am not being judgmental but they do tend to have large families that often take over the whole pool area and make it uncomfortable for other people to be there because of the noise, etc. Since they continue to raise the rent I would not recommend this place. I don't think it's worth what they charge. You might as well pay another $100 and live up the road in the nicer apartments in Cool Springs. Pros: Apartment size is nice and it's nice that they accept animal Cons: PARKING! more

Everyone is SICK! 8/14/2008

I moved into Franklin Oaks for a year and it was a nightmare. My beautiful apartment fell apart and the management gave my key out overnight to outside contractors. Despite all the typical issues (I could go on for pages), the worst has been my health. I kept insisting my apartment had a mold problem, but TN has no mold laws so Franklin Oaks just denied it- even when one resident found a mushroom growing in her unit. I thought I would be fine after I moved out, but I developed respiratory and sinus issues and my dog began having seizures. I?ve been sick for 3 years and finally a nutritionist said it was fungal. Today my dog and I are both detoxing from the mold exposure and getting healthy. I?ve contacted as many former and current residents as I can because they are all sick. I knew it was a mold problem when I was there, but had no idea how bad it would continue to affect my health and even my dog. more

Please be cautious before deciding to move here 8/9/2007

I have lived in my apartment for a long time now and under the previous management I loved it. They were responsive to problems and actually cared about their tenants. The new management is greedy and careless. They are only nice to you when your lease is up and smile as they continue to raise your rent for an apartment that is no longer worth the price. I am currently battling the management over threats to my security and noise violations that they have flat out said is my problem. Their security lights only occasionally work and my neighbors are very frightening. Pros: Nice location Cons: Management, pest control, parking, neighbors more
