GREAT for an Evening out!! 1/2/2006

The FOX Theater is located in the heart of downtown Detroit, right across from Comerica Park, on Woodward Ave. We went there on Christmas Eve to see The Radio City Christmas Spectacular and I cannot say enough great things about this place! The history inside is worth the price of admission. The staff is very professional and they look the part as well. If you are looking for something to do, check it out, they run all different kinds of shows, it is definitely worth it! more

A Must See for Everyone! 11/9/2005

This theater is unbelieveable. It's so beautiful on the inside and any show that you see there has a very intimate feel. You can tell that the staff really take pride in the place, and they are happy to help you and greet you. The only downfalls are the parking (can be expensive in the garage and dangerous on the street) and the bathrooms (the mens and womens are on OPPOSITE sides of the building). You MUST go here though to experience a piece of Old Detroit! more

Fox Theatre 9/21/2005

This is a wonderful old theatre that has kept the old decorations, the wonderfully painted ceilings, all the original decor is either still in it or replicated very well. I've seen concerts, plays, and several other events here. The only bad thing is the lack of bathrooms - there aren't enough for the amount of people that are packed into the events and you end up waiting in line a long time. Parking is very easy - there is a structure right on the side of the theatre. more

The Fox Theatre... MUST SEE! 9/2/2005

The Fox Theatre is a must see when in Detroit.. it is just stunning.. the main lobby is just breathtaking and the arena is just beautiful.. the decor is just amazing.. I have been to the Fox a number of different times, they always have events going on.. I've seen David Copperfield, Enrique, Brian McKnight, the Rocketts at Christmas are awesome, Larry the Cable Guy and many more.. they have shows for adults and the family.. it's a great place to go.. every seat in the house is a good seat.. they have great food and just the friendliest staff.. I always enjoy a night out at the Fox Theatre.. it's a *MUST* when in Detroit! more

Oliver was GREAT! 8/18/2005

I haven't been into theater very much before I moved to the Detroit area. Fortunately, Detroit has a couple great theaters downtown. The Fox Theater, more specifically Oliver at the Fox, was great! I will definitely go back and see another show. The entertainment, recognizing some of the songs, and seeing the talent of those on stages was all worth it. more

A Trip Back to the Roaring Twenties 8/15/2005

This nice historic theater has much character and beauty. From the moment you walk in to the lobby you are taken away to a time when movie palaces dotted the country, building the most elaborate theater to draw crowds. The decor has been nicely restored and lit up. The staff is friendly and nicely dress. Prices are a bit high but it is worth every penny to come to this ornate theater. more

Great place to go for the upcoming special events and shows 6/16/2005

This is an older building which was redone and the ambiance is awesome! Great place for the kids as well with shows available such as Dora the Explorer, Sesame Street Live and more! For the adults you can see David Copperfield, The Rockets and more! more
