A fun "starter" theater 8/18/2005

We went to the Fox recently to see "Escanaba in da Moonlight", a goofy play by Jeff Daniels. It was absolutely hilarious, and I (in general not being a hoity-toity, artsy-type person) was relieved to find that the atmosphere at the theatre was welcoming, non-threatening, and pleasantly middle-class. I felt very comfortable there- with the exception of my tooshie. (The seats could be a bit better) I am keeping my eye on their upcoming schedule and already plan to see "The Underpants" by Steve Martin and the classic "Death of a Salesman". This is a great starter theater if you have never gone to a play before! more

Or better yet... to gain. Nick Sugar returns to the director's chair at the Aurora Fox, three years since his triumphant production of our Henry Award-Winning rock musical, Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Showing from September 17th through October 10th at the Aurora Fox Arts Center.(Starts: 8/19/2021)
