Four Star True Value

What a pleasant experience I had at this store. The staff was extremely helpful with whatever I needed and they offered to help me bring a heavy item to my car. The store is being run under new management and I have to say, what a pleasure it is to shop there. I will be spending a lot of time in Four Star on Main Street from now on! What a great place and friendly faces! more

Buyer Beware! I had a horrible experience with a major purchase. I purchased 2 wicker chairs that were advertised on sale, and realized when I got them home that one was defective. I called and explained the situation, and they said to bring it in for exchange. I lugged the chair all the way back, they removed the defective one from my car, and then told me they couldn't replace that chair with the same one! Why? They had mispriced the chairs originally, so if I wanted that chair I would now have to pay double what I intially paid. Not only was penalized for their stupidity and faulty merchandise, they were completely unapologetic about it. This establishment does not stand behind their merchandise or their prices, and would not buy so much as a piece of gum from them more

I love the old style variety stores where you can go and get a card, something cute as a gift and even get some clothespins for the line out back! Four Star is just that kind of store. They carry a pretty large line of seasonal items, some beautiful housewares and even toys for the kids. It's the only place that I was able to find a unique lamp shade and they were so helpful to help me find it. I love to go in and browse just to see what I might want or to find a little something as a gift for a friend who's under the weather - physically or emotionally. A fun store to shop! more
