Four Seasons -Austin 11/5/2009

I'm an Event planner, I have the reponsibility of scouting and recommending venues all over the world for my clients. The Four Seasons-Austin is one of my faves! The Hotel is fabulous, the customer service is world class, I can assure you being Brazilian-American, and a Miami native I come from a world of diversity and free spirits... so I recognize a person's freedom to live and enjoy their life. But for the Four Seasons to be homophobic is craziness and almost unbelievable to me, I wonder if this was just an ""off day"" for them. I know the Mgr and am familiar with the concierge staff; I have never gotten the feeling that they were homophobic in the least, however, if I'm wrong, my apologies. I can remind you that discretion is well advised if you're in the Lobby of a place such as The Four Seasons, after all, it is not the red light district in Shanghai. So if I may, I totally get the ""affection"" thing, no matter what your sexual orientation, but discretion is always a ""first class"" idea. And although Austin is a very ""diverse"" and ""free spirited"" locale, The Four Seasons is a first class Resort and one should act accordingly. I would guess, your sexual orientation is accepted by more people these days than you know, I say love and be loved, just err on the side of what's tasteful...and not ""tacky"" no matter where you go. But then, this is my humble oppinion, I welcome yours. more

Comfortable Space 5/21/2009

I stayed here while visiting my daughter and it was a great experience over all. The location itself was quite convenient to all the Austin visits. I felt that it was a little pricey but it was the Four Seasons, what else would you expect. I would recommend if you wanted something on the formal side. Pros: Great Location Cons: Price more

Everything was amazing 4/20/2009

They never let us down. We love staying here as well as just going for some drinks. We loved it so much that it's where my wife and I got married. We stayed there for a week along with our wedding party and everyone had nothing but great things to say about it. It's a great weekend getaway without leaving town. more

So worth it! 1/16/2009

This is such a nice getaway, and it is right in the heart of the city. The rooms are wonderful, the brunch is amazing, the grounds are beautiful and the staff is friendly. more

The Spa 10/18/2008

The Spa at the Four Seasons is INCREDIBLE! Great service for the price, I was very suprised. more

Great new renovations 12/20/2007

I've stayed at the Four Seasons off and on for a while, and the staff is consistently the top of the line for politeness and friendly service. The standard room is a little small, but very comfortable and has everything you need. Much more comfortable than the Driskill, Omni, SF Austin. The new restaurant is pretty good, and the new spa is the best. Very smart choice to renovate that spa! Pros: Great spa and workout room more

Excellent breakfast. Pricey, but great view of town lake ... 7/5/2007

Excellent breakfast. Pricey, but great view of town lake and the dining room lets in a lot of light. more

Very Romantic and upscale 1/12/2007

My husband and I like to go here after a nice dinner downtown and it never disappoints. The atmosphere feels very romantic and quiet, and is a welcome alternative to the downtown ""hot spots"" and is a great place for couples. The piano music is also very nice and the service is outstanding. Pros: Atmosphere, service, great drinks more

YUMMY!!! 5/11/2005

The Bruch at The Cafe` is FAB!!!! It is so across the board that anyone would enjoy it! The cheese blintz is great! The dinner is also wonderful! They just got a new menu!!! If you havent had it yet you are missing out!!!! more

Celebrities! 3/11/2005

This is one of the few places in Austin where the celebrities hang out. During SXSW, it's packed with LA types and faces you vaguely recognize. They make their own margaritas, too, rather than using a frozen mix. more

Wedding Bliss 2/10/2003

My husband and I were married at the hotel May 2002. Our expectations were exceded by their superior customer service. Our guests flew in from all over the country and had the time of their life enjoying all of the hotel amenities. The staff went above and beyond the call of duty and did a fabulous job. Everything was top notch and at a reasonable price compared to other facilities in town. Ladies if you are looking for a little slice of heaven for your special day - consider having it at The Four Seasons. Pros: Friendly Staff, Enjoyable to work wit more

Four Seasons Heaven 1/16/2003

Superior Service, better than the others. Great warm & Friendly staff. more

Very Enjoyable!! 12/22/2002

The Four Seasons in Austin was a complete delight. I actually decided not to do my usual running around just so I could enjoy being in the hotel. My husband and I absolutely loved it and are looking forward to a return visit. Pros: Attention to detail, Beautiful, Comfortable Cons: Expensive, Parking charges more

Relaxing! 12/4/2002

The rooms are beautiful. Loved the big bathtubs. Turn down service...awesome. The snacks in the Lobby Lounge were tasty and plentiful, especially the olives. Sunday Buffet Brunch was heavenly. Pros: convenient location, great staff, nice rooms more

Cool Hangout 10/21/2002

Great place to hang out! Great service! The place is small though, but still possess alot of character. more

Perhaps my favorite hotel in Tx 10/21/2002

Lovely location onthe banks of Town Lake. Lake trails just outside the door. Good gym. Good bar. more

Romantic 10/14/2002

I like the atmosphere here. The staff is friendly and the bar isn't so crowded. A nice place to get to know someone. Pros: peaceful, upscale, parking more

paradise in river city 7/30/2002

We chose the Four Seasons for a weekend away from our first son for the first time. We would spend the day by the pool, picnic by the river, dine on the terrace, and stroll down to see the bats. We arranged for an in-room massage when we returned from a show that was just a short walk away. We were trying to go for a weekend that took us away. The concierge service was great, and we definitely felt worlds away- and it was just minutes from home in case we needed to get back. Perfect! Pros: pool by river, outdoor dining, overall atmosphere Cons: popular convention st, crowded pool at times more

Really excellent 7/6/2002

They make the best martinis and margaritas and don't charge more than other places (i.e. $7 to $11 per drink) and provide you with excellent snacks for free. The snacks consist of olives, a ""trail mix"" and sweetened almonds...yum, yum, yum. Late in the evenings (at least on weekends) they have a singer/piano player. Beautiful setting. The wait staff is unpredictable, though not by Austin standards. This isn't the type of service you'd get in a ""real"" 4 Seasons, but it's pretty good when they try. Pros: Comfortable, Excellent drinks, Tasty & free snacks Cons: Service varies more
