For anyone interested in the Civil War and with a good imagination, Fort Pillow Historic Park is the place for you. Unlike many other historic sites, this one is close to Dyersburg (about an hour drive.) The park is located on the site of Fort Pillow. IT is still possible to see parts of the Fort in the ground. There is a terrific swinging bridge on one of the numerous trails. The museum has some interesting information and artifacts. Each year there is a reenactment weekend with a huge turn out.
