Appropriate Name, Should be Forbidden 1/12/2011

I stopped in to try this Chinese Restaurant last week. Spent $75 on lots of takeout, figuring it would be good for 2 nights. It was the worst Chinese Food I've ever tasted and everyone who tried it agreed. Not one item was good. The General Tso's chicken, which should be spicey, tasted like brown sugar and was mushy. The chicken fried rice had what looked like tiny bits of salmon or tuna and tasted fishy. The prawns in lobster sauce was a tasteless mess. Both my daughter and I got violently ill that night and we threw out most of the food the next day. This place should be on your forbidden list. more

more of a bar 10/17/2008

I've only been in the evening, and It's really mostly a bar. No need to eat here, only drink and be merry!!! I know Fridays are karaoke, and usually regular people, too!! This is definatley(sp?) a relief from the trendsters at Waynes (down the road)!! more

New location, same horrible food! 7/22/2007

I have lived in Puyallup for over 40 years and I USED to eat there all the time, but never again due to its filthy kitchen, poor management and the fact that they were closed down at the old location more times that I can remember. They have moved to a new location, but its the same HORRIBLE, super greasy food, and the same owner with a very nasty temper that has no problem yelling at staff or customers when you complain about the food or service. I am positive that they will trash out the kitchen area soon and be again shut down for clean up. There are never more than a handful of people there and they are all in the bar. Cons: Dirty Kitchen, Managers manage by yelling at people, Food is real greasy and never cooked right. more

Great staff, great food, best Chinese restaurant in Washington 7/13/2007

I've been coming here regularly since I moved to Puyallup and I must say its one of the best Chinese restaurants in the country (and I've been to ALOT of chinese restaurants - NY, SF, Vancouver DC, you name it) . \r \r The waitresses are very nice, alert and helpful. Really, I love this place. It's a beautiful setting in Puyallup. I will certainly go again. I suggest asking the servers what they recommend, they helped me immensly.\r \r Pros: terrific food, staff, service. fun watching people karaoking. large parking area Cons: non really... end up ordering TOO much food :) more

False advertising 7/10/2006

My family and i went to forbidden city's new location. BAD IDEA! the sevice by our server was\r ok,but the food was terrible! way to over cooked and when we told this to the gal she only was able to make more or something else.She asked who i assumed was the manager/owner to take it off our bill and the woman started yelling at her right in the dinning area! Way unprofessional.My advice go to mcdonalds. more

Deep Fried Disaster 12/5/2005

We recently visited this restaurant on the recommendation of City Search's ""Top Ten Best Chinese Restaurants in Seattle"". The 8.5 overall score was highlymisleading! The Number 2 position on the list was undeserved. The food was gready, over cooked and the hot and sour soup was a bowl of orange colored glop! This does not deserve to be on the list! more
