Worst

I tried this restaurant for the $5 Oyster special and got sick from this place. The location is great, but they are not keeping this place clean. The bathroom was dirty and the ...

loved it! 3/16/2005

we were there on a tuesday afternoon sitting at the bar. they had $2 special drafts on summer ale and a dozen fresh raw oysters for like $3! we had a blast! more

Fontaines 10/24/2004

This place was a very cool resturant. Very hip crowd, but also casual and laid back. Food was good. Nothing to write home about, but I think you go for the experience and not the food. Good for a first date. Pros: Inexpensive, Nice Crowd, Relaxed more

Stick with the drinks 8/26/2003

Maybe it was my waitress first day but she was so clueless I had to the bar to get my own drink. The food took 45 minutes and I asked to see the manager but was told they were too busy to come to my table. Snotty better than thou Vir Highland attitude. Get over it your not that cool. Pros: still thinking Cons: food, service, parking more

Great Shucker 1/12/2003

The people there are friendly, the oysters are fresh and the shucker is good and fast. If you are serious about oyster eating you need to check it out. more

You Might Miss It If You Walk Too Fast 10/1/2002

Somehow it took us three months of living in Va-Hi to discover this gem, but we can't stop going now that we've found it! Service is unfailingly polite, actually joins in on the fun at the table instead of merely serving and taking orders, food is delicious and not too expensive; forget about the fries if you order a sandwich, hush puppies are the way to go. The bar crowd pours in on Fridays and Saturdays, but don't worry about getting there too late to eat, they'll find a place for you. more

Love Oysters 8/1/2002

The very best New Orleans style Oyster Bar in Atlanta. Pros: Oyster Selection, Great Service more

Cheap Quality Seafood 7/30/2002

Muscles, Clams, Oysters OH MY - fresh, yummie and you can't help coming back for more - and you won't break the bank. A little east coast ""shore"" in the heart of Atlanta. Pros: Quality Food, Informal Atmosphere, Fun Wait staff Cons: Smoking inside, CROWDS, No reservations more

Your Abita Awaits 6/2/2002

Average food. Sometimes surly service. A nice place to escape for a beer and steamed shrimp on a hot day, but go elsewhere if you're craving serious Cajun cuisine. Cons: average food more

Beer and Bivalves 5/14/2002

Saddle up to the oyster bar, make friends with a shucker and order an Abita while you wait for your dozen. Its going to be awhile before you get that table on the back patio, so get comfortable standing up and downing oysters. The food is average, with the exception of addictive hush puppies and slightly above-average gumbo. Meeting friends? Make sure one of you gets there early enough to grab a big table in the back. Pros: fresh oysters Cons: crowded more
