In ShortWhether for a walk, a picnic or just to smell the roses, over 100 thousand people flock to the Carlsbad flower fields each Spring. Rows of ranunculas, roses, sweet peas and other blooms line over 50 acres of a costal hillside just east of Interstate 5 overlooking the ocean. In addition to guided tours and picnic areas, there's also an orchid shopping event, tractor rides through the fields, kids' days, arts, crafts, food and more.
