Best

This aquarium is absolutely huge and for the money it cost for admission, I was shocked that it was so cheap. They were running a special where our kids got in for free since we p...

Worst

This was an O.K. place to visit. But, the most interesting part was the WW2 battleship out by the bay and the Dolphin Exploring boat ride offered out by the bay. The actual aquari...

Mediocre for the Price 4/2/2009

I think the prices are SUPER high for the little amount of time spent there. You can pretty much see everything in about an hour. The water area for the kids was worth the trip for my 2 year old. The MAIN complaint is the people that work there. In the 3 times I've been there, not one offered me a map. Additionally, when coming in the door with my child in a stroller, not one person offered to get the door for me. They just stood there like morons. The customer service there is AWFUL. Not one person to rave about except maybe the dipping dots lady. more

So much to see and do 12/5/2005

This location has so many animals to look at and learn about that it is well worth the price. They offer many classes to educate the guests on things like what sharks eat to why do penguins like it so cold. This place is so big that you realize that there is a lot to see in the sea. On the hotter days they also have a small water park attached. The children can play in the water and almost feel like they are under the sea. more

Kids love this place 11/23/2005

I went on my daughters kindergarden field trip to the Aquarium and I was not overly impressed with the place. But the kids loved it. They got to touch sting rays, look at sharks, sea horses, different kinds of fish, touch star fish and many more aquatic life. The kids were amazed on how large grouper really are. And were really liked all the different exhibits. I actually learned a few things too. more

Nice very nice. 8/20/2005

This place is nice. They have a lot of fishes. Some are very big and old. They also have a scuba diving show. A man jumps into the tank and starts asking the kids some questions. They also have the touch pool for the kids. Sometimes they have special events with great music. This is when I decide to go again. more

The Florida Aquarium 8/17/2005

A wonderful exhibit of all types of sea creatures, sure to entertain adults and children alike. Admission isn't too pricey for the amount of exhibits you can see. An absolute must see for any Florida tourist or resident, it is Florida after all. Located in the Channelside area as well, so as soon as your done with the aquarium you can go see a movie or get some ice cream. more

Good for the first time 8/6/2005

The Florida Aquarium is an excellent attraction IF you haven't been there for quite some time. I personally think that the ticket prices are rather steep for the one to two hours actually spent in the aquarium (I remember them being around $20-$25 per adult). There are several specials ran throughout the year as well as coupons - both of which I highly recommend. Parking is available on-site for a fee. Since the parking at the aquarium is a set price, walk over to the shops at Channelside and have lunch, dinner, or just stroll around the plaza. more

So So 8/5/2005

I haven't been to the Florida Aquarium in Tampa since the late 1990's but as I recall it was so so. There were quite a few surprises but the overall feel of the place was blah. Perhaps it has improved since then. They did have decent deals for Florida residents, and alot of times you can find buy one get one free coupons. We are planning to revisit later this year and I'll try to remember to update this post then. more

Florida Wildlife 7/16/2005

Wow, I live here and I had no idea how much wildlife we actually had. The Florida Aquarium is an all day event, there is so much to see. They have some birds, and so many open aquariums, the alligator exibits are really fun. They have a huge glassed in room, where you can sit and watch as a diver feeds fish and answers your questions. There are tunnels with the aquariums all around you, this is truly a wonderous place. more

Fun place for the family 7/9/2005

This is a really fun place to take family and/or kids. I'm a big kid myself and I enjoyed it very much. They have some wonderful displays with some amazing species of fish and water mammals. I had a lot of fun and will definitely be back. The staff was great as well. Only drawback for me was the parking.... more

Nice exhibits, reasonably priced 6/30/2005

This aquarium has a nice selection of exhibits and a lot of things for the kids to see and do. They even have day camps available! The admission prices are reasonable and it's connected to Channelside shops and eateries. Nice location, right on the water and the staff is very helpful and friendly! This is a great place to take the kids! Although both young and old will love it here. more
