Worst so called ""customer service"" I've ever received. 9/7/2011

My husband and I live near Flores, less than 5 min away, so we decided to try it Sunday(9-4-11) with our 2 boys. Everything was good. I wouldn't call anything we had ""great"" but it was good enough to possibly make it a regular spot for margaritas. When we couldn't decide on what to cook for dinner tonight we quickly came to the conclusion that we'd go to Flores again, only 3 days after our first visit. It's conveniently around the corner! When we ordered our entr more

YUM 5/8/2009

I love Flores. The food is good, and so is the service. The ""HOT SAUCE LADY"" is out of her mind, we are in Texas, things are smothered in cheese, thats the way we like it. If you dont, go back to the West Coast and enjoy the dry food. Its a pleasant eating experience everytime and its a place my kids will actually finish all their food. Try the Joe's Tacos! They are THE BEST!!! Pros: Good Food, Great Service Cons: Can get crowded... more

Authentic, interior Mexican food with great service 9/3/2007

I agree with the last poster. Definitely disregard the ""Hot Sauce"" lady. Each of the Flores restaurants remains packed with happy customers. It's family owned and is one of the few places to continue serving real Mexican fare without being ruined by Tex Mex or northern versions of Mexican cuisine. more

Great food, great customer service... 5/16/2007

Maybe the lady above should go to an actual TEX-MEX restaurant, rather than a REAL mexican restaurant if she wants something other than the hot sauce--or try telling them no hotsauce...and also try eating other foods other than the TYPICAL burrito and and enchiladas. I LOVE this restaurant, they're always real friendly and the service is fast. The restaurant is always clean--you can't actually smell any types of cleaners. I would recommend this to any real mexican food lover! Pros: Great drinks/food more

Will Never Eat There Again.... 6/16/2006

I had the displeasure of eating at Flores Mexican restaurant located in Oak Hill last night and my stomach is still feeling the pain from the dinner and the entire experience today. Upon entering Flores with its strip mall type atmosphere and the pungent smell of floor/bathroom cleaners (I guess this should be a good thing) it is extremely unappealing and should have been our first clue. My beef Chimichanga I ordered came smothered in some type of cheese sauce, my husbands enchiladas were smothered in some type of hot sauce that was so completely hot all that could be tasted was the hot sauce. It may just be the fact that I'm accustomed to the traditional West Coast style of Mexican cooking but WHY is it that all Mexican dishes in this town be smothered in some type of gravy or cheese sauce???? It is just wrong on all levels healthwise and tastewise, gravy/cheese sauce is not good on everything people. It makes you wonder what exactly are they trying to hide under all that goop? My daughters bean burrito tasted like the floor cleaners that you smell upon entering the restaurant and were running out of her tortilla and across the plate. The inside of my Chimichanga contained ground beef reminiscent of a Hungry Jack TV Dinner, perhaps if they used shredded beef I may have been able to get past the goop covered deep fried ball of nastiness but I have to say the whole thing was gross, inside and out. I will never eat at Flores again and probably will not eat any type of Mexican food until I can take a trip to back San Diego where the Mexican cooking is done correctly. Pros: I heard the margaritas are good, maybe I should have had 1 or 5 Cons: Everything more
