chic styles and excellent quality 6/17/2010

i've been shopping at flora and henri since my son was born 3 years ago. i have been beyond pleased with everything i've purchased from them. my son lived in their essentials as an infant, and we still love these soft cotton pieces. the more tailored styles are super-chic. AND they just started carrying women's and housewares as well. finally!!!! now i can look as cool as my kid :). best part: much of their line is manufactured in madagascar and nepal and proceeds go to orphanages in these countries, so shopping there supports a good cause. btw: the address listed above is incorrect. they have a new location in capitol hill. 919 east pine street seattle, wa 98122 Pros: chic clothing. great customer service more

Cute style, very disappointing quality. 3/2/2007

Style is super cute. Quality does not live up to the outrageous prices. I received a light spring coat and leather slip on shoes as a gift for each of my two daughters. Coat was something like $80 and shoes were $60. The coat gets very mild use for special occassions and the seams are coming out and the fabric is fraying. This is happening on both coats, so it is consistent. The shoes were worn outside once. The smaller pair has a seam coming loose making a hole. The larger pair got ruined on the first wear as my daughter is 5 and ran around and scraped them all up. Simply not practical for that age. In addition, she complains that they are not comfortable. I am very disappointed with the quality. I would have preferred $140 for each of my daughters college savings accounts. Pros: Cute style. Cons: Poor quality. more
