Best

When I go out to eat, I expect to pay a lot for my meal. I also expect to get a lot of food for that money. I'm a bit of a foodie and only want the best. Well, this place did deli...

Worst

What seemed to be an upscale, fancy steakhouse, turned out disappointing. The kitchen at Fleming's is exposed to the guests. After 15min, I wished I wasn't sitting ""in the kitche...

Delicious steak and good food but not so great service 5/29/2008

I went to Flemings with my boyfriend and had one of the best filets mignons I've ever tasted. We both thought the food was great! However, the place is loud and the prices are high. Our server was training and she wasn't very attentive. Aside from the service, I would definately go back Pros: Quality tender steak. Huge wine list Cons: High prices. Loud more

WOW 4/20/2008

I have to say that I experienced the best steaks and service last night at Flemings. This was a second date for us and we were encouraged to try Flemings by a mutual friend. It was everything he described from the moment we entered. Front desk staff very cordial and attentive. Servers attention to detail was immpecable and the 40 ounce Porter House we shared was cooked to perfection. Thank you to Flemings for making our second date an incredible experience! See you soon!! Pros: Great service, great food, great ambience Cons: Busy bar, not my thing but seemed to jumpin more

THE place for steak in baltimore 4/9/2008

many places in baltimore claim to be the best steak house but I am going to have to go with flemings and not just because of the great cuts of beef. the wine list has been carefull though out, unlike other steak houses which just load up a wine menu with many expensive wines that don't compliment anything on the menu. the location is also a big plus, I love to walk to and from the restaurant from downtown in a slow casual pace on a warm spring evening. and the service, I always ask for Rasheed, a true professional unlike the long list of young servers in what seems like every restaurant who act like they are doing you a favor buy serving you. cleanliness is also another factor in why I go there, how many restaurants have you been that you thought were great, only to use the facilities that seem like they get cleaned once a week? not so at flemings, at least not in my experience. I tend bar at the inner harbor and always suggest flemings to the many tourists I encounter. Pros: food, service, location, wine list Cons: cant think of any more

The Best Steak 3/25/2008

Flemings is a great palce to go not the average crowd. More mature atmosphere. The steak was so big and juicy the baked potatoe was big also and the brocolli was enough to share with 2. You must go check this place out it is great. The price was a little expensive but was well worth it. more

Not consistant 3/3/2008

Not consistant, Bad Prime Rib, tough like a cheap cut of meat. Other times the food was good, Good service good bar. Pros: Nice place Cons: food not up to par more

Impressive 2/28/2008

After reading all the hype about this restaurant, I decided to give it a try with my husband. We are natives to Scottsdale and are familiar with steakhouse favorites Mortan?s and City Hall. Although we have heard our friends mention Fleming's here and there, we never got around to going. Pros: knowledge and attentive staff; wine bar always a plus; not as snooty as Mortons or City Hall Cons: parking is limited but valet is complementary more

Great Place! 2/25/2008

This place is exceptional! I went here with my boyfriend for both of our first times and business associates and I was truly impressed! The waitress was very knowledgeable and the entire staff was very professional. We were there on a business dinner and the attention offered was not intrusive but very attentive. I had the bone-in NY Strip and I have to say that it is the best steak I've ever had. Also, you HAVE got to try the signature Chocolate lava cake. I can do no justice in describing it except to say that it is like heaven on earth!!! Will definitely be back... Pros: Great place, good food, and knowledgeable staff. more

Superior Lambchops! 2/24/2008

Took my girlfriend here on a recommendation from the concierge at the Hilton. She had the petite filet, I had lamb chops, which I've found to be challenging here in the valley. Both items were fantastic!! Perfectly cooked, lean, delicious. Had to wait for a few minutes for our table (no reservation), but picked out our wine at the bar. Service was excellent, can't wait for my next visit! Pros: Food, wine list, service Cons: None. more

WOW!!!!! 2/24/2008

By far the best steakhouse experience I have had in the valley. Not stuffy like Morton's, Ruth's Chris, or Donovans. This is a lively place with a genuinely hospitable staff and and exciting ambiance with an open kitchen. Some say it is too loud, get a life, the open forum design is lively and adds to the experience. We dined out last weekend at the busiest time, but the hostess handled the mob graciously. Our server truly made the evening. He navigated us through one of the best wine lists I have ever seen and after trying a flight of three 2 oz. glasses of his favorites, we found the perfect bottle for our dinner. Our entire meal was ordered according to our servers recommendations and you could tell thathe enjoyed the responsibility of impressing us. We started with the Cajun Shrimp appetizer, dellicious! Followed that with a spinach and portobello salad which he had split in the kitchen because he didn'e want to spoil our appetites. That was the perfect cool down and build up for the main course. Upon return fro the restroom I found my table neatly maintained with the crumbs all gone and my napkin refolded, it was a nice touch. Then came the good stuff. Bone-In NY Strip charred med rare...Best steak I can remember ever having. A delicate 12 oz. filet mignon ""Oscar Style"" which is topped with bernaise, asparagus, and fresh lump crab meat. Accompanying these world class steaks were the wonderful fleming's scalloped potatoes, boldly flavored sauteed mushrooms, and crisp grilled asparagus. Wow! Wow! Wow! Everything was incredible. Even though you could tell that our server was very busy he made sure everything was, and I quote, ""PERFECT"" What a lofty expectation, but I could honestly say that it was. We capped off this memorable meal with a pairing of port and a signature chocolate lava cake. From first impression to last, Fleming's on Scottsdale and Lincoln really shines! I will be back with friends in the very near future to enjoy this distinguished establishment. Pros: great service, serious steak, wonderful appetizers, best wine list more

Great Food, Wine, Service and atmosphere..what more can one ask for? 2/24/2008

If you are looking to go out and have a great time then this is the place. I have dined at many, many restaurants in my day and the Flemings at Lincoln and Scottsdale has something about it that draws me back time and time again. The food is always phenomenal and the service is always friendly and on point. Last night our server was extremely knowledgeable and unpretentious when we were discussing wines, he truly wanted to educate and get me something that fit what I was eating and desiring. The wine flight he offered allowed me to take a taster of wines I was unfamiliar with but eager to try and experience, with a ton of choices he was right on with all of the choices, making it very approachable and un-intimidating. Lastly the pairing of the port and lava cake was something that capped the evening off perfectly and makes me want to go back tonight or in the very near future??.what a great time!!!!! Pros: Service, food and selection of wine Cons: very busy all the time more

Awesome atmosphere and food! 2/23/2008

From the charming surroundings to the amazing steak...Fleming's is a MUST for anyone looking for a wonderful evening out. They have phenominal steak that I have never been able to match in years of dining out. From years of restaurant exposure, I recommend Fleming's for anyone looking for a memorable date night or gatherings with friends or coworkers. I have always had awesome service and that can only be matched by the consistently awesome food and wine selection. You gotta go try it for yourself! Pros: all around great on everything Cons: be sure to make a reservation for busy nights more

THE BEST STEAK IN BALTIMORE 2/22/2008

The food, wine selection and atmosphere make this restaurant the best of the best. The waiters bend over backwards to make everything perfect. I had the peppercorn flavored steak which was fantastic. Their selection of potatoes is unlike any other restaurant. Flemings is very conveniently located at the bottom of I-83 and they even have valet parking. If you go there on a Sunday evening after a Raven game, you'll see many of the players. If they have a smile on their face, you'll know that their food was as good as their game. Pros: Food, lighting, waiters, and wine selection Cons: I couldn't fit more into my stomach more

The only things that was great was the wine. 2/18/2008

I can't begin to tell you how disappointed I am with the quality of the food. I'm not one to write a bad review, but the food was horrible! My filet mignon was supposed to be cooked medium and it was chared and badly burned. I have had better steak at Friday's for ten dollars! The caesar salad was made of wilted romaine lettuce and tasted bitter, not to mention the disappointing side dishes. The only good things were the customer service and the wine. I'd save my money, if I were you. Pros: Great customer service, great wine selection Cons: Long wait time for food, poor tasting food more

Horrible dining experience. Mediocre food, bad service. Poorly managed. 1/25/2008

There are too many outstanding steakhouses in Austin to waste time and money on this one. Pros: Great homemade bread Cons: SLOW SERVICE, Rude servers. No management presence. Food not cooked properly. Overpriced for a mediocre experience more

Be aware of the prices! 12/9/2007

Price is higher than listed on here!! Not a single steak under $30. Maybe half a dozen entrees under $30. $9.50 for a soup! Salads are not included, and are not that tasty. My $33 petite filet had no flavor. It was tender, but no flavor. Covered in black pepper. Bonefish's filet puts this to shame. My husband liked his ribeye, though. Cheap ribeye is $38. A group of five ordered 3 appetizers, sodas, average priced entrees, and the bill was $265! That's $53 per person. Pros: Nice atmosphere, comfortable seating, good service. Cons: Overpriced. I don't mind paying for good food, but this was not that great. more

Awesome food, not so awesome service 11/30/2007

I have to be honest, I'm a bit of a food and service snob, having worked in the restaurant industry for quite awhile, so this review might seem a bit... nit picky. If I was eating out at an average casual restaurant, I wouldn't think twice about most of this stuff. BUT... if I'm going to go to a restaurant and pay $40 for a single steak, plus $7 to $12 for each additional side, plus $10 to $16 for a decent glass of wine, then my server better be on point. The food was excellent, and our server was very friendly and was putting forth a solid effort. I believe the fault here lies much in lack of training on the restaurant's behalf. Like I said, if you're gonna charge THAT MUCH, which I'm willing to pay, then the service better be damn good. It started with the greeting which included the word ""folks"", then she proceeded to lean on our table as she spoke and fill her descriptions with ""um."" These aren't good no matter where you dine, but at a place like this... clean it up. I'm sorry, I can't help it, I notice these things because I make a living off of not doing them. Anyway, dinner was great and her service was prompt. She then clearly started getting very busy, which is fine and happens, though our dessert course suffered. I ordered a drink, she said ok, then came back 10 minutes later to say they didn't have that liquor. I ordered something else, same thing, 10 minutes later. Then, to save time and because my dessert had already arrived, I asked for any tawny port, which I knew they had plenty of. I ended up receiving a glass of dessert wine which she called port when she set it down. It was definitely far from tawny, and even farther from a port. Mistakes happens, nobody is perfect, but thats like ordering steak and getting chicken. KNOW YOUR MENU. Isn't that kind of a no brainer? So basically, the food was great and I would definitely go back, and perhaps this particular server was an exception. Its just too bad it had to be at my table. Pros: Awesome food, polite service, timely. Cons: Inexperienced servers who need much more training. more

questionable 10/7/2007

I have been to Flemmings on several occasions and was very pleased with the service. Recently I considered having my company's holiday party at Flemmings due to my previous experience. However upon contacting the planner of such events, I felt that this aspect of Flemmings was quite disorganized due to the fact that the planner never returned any of my phone calls. I am aware that there may be an explanation and I will continue to dine with one or two guest but will never again attempt to plan a party. more

Top notch food and service! 9/11/2007

I went to Flemings a few weeks ago and was highly impressed! I ordered the calamari, filet mignon with the Flemings cheese potaoes, and cheesecake. This may have been the best filet I've ever had. The drinks are strong and the service is excellent. They also have a great bar area for before or after dinner drinks. Pros: Excellent food and service, great ambiance Cons: none! more

BEST IN MY OPINION 9/5/2007

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I make sure this is where i go for all special occasions with my friends and family. great staff-not some stuck up place---great drinks--great steaks--they go out of their way to get whatever you want, even if they don't offer it on the menu anymore! i love the salads! i would rec. Flemming's to anyone going on a first date or a night out with friends. The bar area will be packed on friday nights too! nice place to meet people. Pros: the steaks are great! service is A++++, location is perfect, not stuffy at all Cons: make a reservation! and make it on time! really not a con...lol more

Amazing meal for a reasonable price 8/29/2007

We asked our hotel concierge for a nice restaurant, and he got us a reservation at Flemmings. When we arrived and were seated, our waiter already knew our names (from the reservation) and we were treated extraordinarily well the entire evening. We both ordered the sunday-only prime rib special, which was one of the best steaks I'd ever ordered. Mine had very little fat, and while my wife's had a bit more, we were both very happy. We started off with the Brie appetizer (very tasty and filling), followed by a salad. We both had the same though on the salad - each leaf of lettuce had the appropriate amount of dressing on it. Next came our steaks, each with one side. My mushrooms were good, but a little dry. My wife's chipotle mac&cheese was nearly a meal in itself, and very tasty. Finally, we got the chocolate lava cake for desert, and according to my wife, it was ""heaven."" Served with a side of bavarian cream and ice cream, it was the perfect ending to a perfect dinner. That is, until we got the bill and realized we'd be out the door under $45/person. We'll definitely be back, maybe even before we leave town... Pros: Extraordinary food, Great service Cons: Don't be cheap - enjoy the experience more
