Five Plus Two Child Learning

I have great reservations about placing children in this facility due to it's location: directly next door to a gun shop, a church office, and a liquor store/gas station. Granted, the daycare was there first, I can't comprehend why the city approved guns and liquor to be sold next door to a daycare.?!? Go figure. more

I got along with most of the staff; however, my son fell and broke his wrist on the playscape and the teachers didn't even know that his arm was injured until I pointed it out. This was within two weeks of attending their facility. \r \r Then, there was the biting incident. My son was bit three times in one week; two of which were from the same child. When I have walked in, the room was very chaotic, and I haven't seen a whole lot of structured curriculum going on. My son would scream when I would drop him off. He was not very happy here, and he is a very happy kid; I had to put him somewhere where he is happy. Pros: The price Cons: Chaotic classroom, classroom size too large: individual child does not get attention he/she deserves. more

my son attended this child care center for about 3 months. i was very happy with the service, all of the teachers were kind, and i could actually see a difference in my sons vocabulary and other prek skills. he always seemed quite happy to be there, and in a good mood when i picked him up. i was quite crushed when i got a disturbing incident report and not even one teacher mentioned a word to me about it until i called. they made it seem like i should have known about the misconduct, when really, i was in the dark. they did not keep me informed on the things that were happening at school, i would just get vauge reports every week. i never knew there was any kind of behavioral problems. i think that more drastic measures should have been in place. i did not even hear of the incident until the next day in a note. i got no phone call, no face to face explaination, nothing. it should have been imediate notification. Pros: good education plan, nice clean facility Cons: bad judgement on handling situations with parents, lack of supervision. more
