Good work & reasonable prices 8/30/2012

My hair is think and gets frizzy. I go to First Hair to get it blow dried straight. I've tried almost all of the hairdressers who work there, but for my type of hair, I've found Andy to be the best!! Sometimes the wait for Andy is a bit long, but for me it's worth it. The prices are very reasonable so it allows me to go once a week for a blow out. With the prices at the salon I was going to prior to First Hair, I couldn't of afforded that little luxuary. more

This salon is awesome... great head massage, and quick but thorough blowout... even if you have long, thick curly hair! They make my hair look a way that no other salon can, I swear! more

Best Head Massage 10/22/2009

I've been going here for years. I use whichever operator is available. They give the BEST head massage in the world while they wash your hair & if you tip them well you get the best treatment. The best value for hair services ever... more

I've been going to First Hair for years now. And it's the only place I will go to cut my hair or color it. I always go to John, he does a wonderful job on my hair. I moved from Brooklyn to Queens and I will travel there to get my hair done. more

Great Cut for a Song 8/17/2005

If you go on a weekend be sure to get to First Hair early. They are a first come/first serve establishment. As soon as you walk in make your way to the desk and put down your name and what you need done (color, wash/cut/blow, etc.) and then pull up a chair. One of the ladies in the back will wash your hair and give you a wonderful scalp massage in a reclining chair. All of the stylists do a wonderful job – you can go with the first one available or wait for a particular one . . . I prefer Maun who does a great job with my hair. I could spend four times as much at a froo froo salon but what would I get for my money? A cup of coffee? Bring your own coffee from the deli across the street, get a great cut and save a ton. more

Can't go wrong with this choice. 8/6/2005

First Hair is the only place I will go to to have my hair cut. The place is usually very busy on the weekend so you should try to go during the week if possible. Their prices are really cheap, it's around twenty dollars I believe to get you hair washed, cut and blown. The best part of the experience is the head and back massage you get while you get your hair washed. more
