First Grace is an open and affirming congregation of the United Church of Christ. As such, all persons are welcome to participate in the worship, mission and leadership of the church. We are an urban congregation with participants coming from a large radius to be involved in the life and mission of a church committed to serving others in the name of Jesus Christ. As a matter of fact, it is the mission of the church to increase the joy found in Jesus Christ. Volunteers are welcome to participate in our homework club. After school ministries, meal programs, summer safari, and open door coffee house.

Worship services and children's classes are held simultaneously at 10:45 on Sundays. A nursery and toddler area are available for parents who would like a few moments for "God and Self". Adult studies are held on Sundays and through the week. Our choir rehearses on Wednesday evening and new voices are always welcome.
First grace is located at the intersection of Portage Pat and Exchange Street,adjacent to the Akron Women City and Stagecoach Theatre and is near the Highland Square area.
