Best

I came here with a group of 6 friends on championship sunday last weekend. If you're looking for a place to watch a game, definitely go to firefly. They have at least ten projecti...

Worst

If you want to go for a game , this is a great place to go

Terrible 6/27/2008

This place is terrible, they need help with food, service and decor! Avoid this place spend your money somewhere else! Pros: none Cons: food, service, liquor more

Great Place to watch sports 6/11/2008

Me and my friends went there last weekend to watch basketball. Even though the place was very busy we didnt have to wait long for our drinks and food. The best buffalo bites in town!! Our waitress Megan was on top of everything. Definitely going back to watch Celtics win :) Pros: Atmosphere, Service Cons: none more

rude service 6/10/2008

Firefly - a light name doesn't equal a fun place. I was charged $9 for a beer, and thought it was a mistake as I had just bought the same beer for $6 earlier. When I asked the waitress about this, she said, how much do you want back? And threw a dollar in my face. I said, I just paid $6 for this beer earlier, and she said it's an import and in NY things cost more. If you don't want to give me a tip, you don't have to. FIrst of all, I have probably lived in NY since she was a pre teen. Secondly, no, I no longer wanted to tip her. I wanted to complain to the manager, and struggled to be polite. As I walked away with my actual money owed to me, she made some snarky remark. Anyway, I will never go to this rude, sports screen, no character bar again. There are many other nicer bars with less expensive beer and better service. more

Terrible Service 5/19/2008

Me and my three friends were in New York for a short vacation and having a great time until tonight. Words cannot even describe how mean the server, Liz, was to us. She never asked how we were doing and when i asked about the "happy-hour all day" she snootliy replied, "it's all night!" I apologized but she condescendingly told me about the one drink special.....then she avoided us to the point of only sending the bus boy over to serve us. We had to ask the bus boy to get our check for us as we watched Liz talk on her cell phone on the other side of the window. when she brought us our bill she had already added gratuity! for 4 people! and we did not want to leave her anything! we all gave her individual credit cards and she had the gall to write in her own tip! in pen! needless to say we crossed out this supposed "mandatory" gratuity. We are also confident she charged us full price for our supposed "happy hour" drinks. don't go here, it's expensive bar food, bad drink specials, and awful service. Pros: the promise of drink specials Cons: the lack of drink specials and the terrible service more

Snotty Bouncer 4/7/2008

I'm not sure how it is inside, but the bouncer was really arrogant and wouldn't even let me go grab my friends and let them know I couldn't stay because I was wearing sandles. I had no idea that footwear was so important for watching sports. Anyway, I guess I can't complain about their rules, that's their choice. But that doesn't give them a right to be jerks. more

brand new lounge 2/29/2008

best place to go when you want to enjoy some good food, great drinks and decent music. Pros: great drinks and good music Cons: no coat check more

Greatest Girls Night Out In a Long Time 2/4/2008

My girlfriends and I were out to dinner in the lower east side for dinner. We stopped in for a quick cocktail and were on our way on to the club. The crowd was great and when the manager found out it was my friend's birthday she got her a shot and gave us a table. The place is classy and brand new. The bartenders were cute, the music was hot, and the drinks were strong so we ended up staying till 3 without even noticing. We go out a lot to the usuals like sutra, butter, home but it was refreshing to party at a classy down to earth club. Forget the attitude of the placees that make you stand on line and pay cover. Pros: hot crowd, no attitude, parking garage around the block Cons: no coat check! more

Nice Lunch Spot 2/4/2008

I took my girlfriend shopping in SOHO last weekend. While she was out I went to wonder around and ended up at a bar with a big screen and beer. It was pretty busy for lunch but still relaxed enough to enjoy the game. I needed to write this because the bar food was the best I've ever had in New York City. I ordered some boneless buffalo chicken and eventually a burger. It wasn't the typical greasy bar/pub food we all suffer eating. Pros: made for the man who wants a beer and good food more

I will never go back 2/1/2008

We reserved an area in this bar for a large party of 40 people. They only gave us two small corner tables and standing bar room only. The management was extremely rude and unwilling to accommodate us. I will never go back and strongly discourage anyone from hosting a party at this bar. We have hosted many business parties in the past and have never been so disappointed or angry with the service and treatment we received as at Firefly Bar and Grill. more

great club on spring street 1/26/2008

Went to firefly last night for my 26th birthday, the music was ok but the beer and shot prices were good. No line or hastle getting in like with most places on Spring. The manager had the line moving and seemed to be having a good time herself. We didn't have any problems getting to the bar. There were lots girls dancing and having a good time. We stayed till 3 and only spend $100 for 4 of us. Our austrailian bartender was very accommodating and fast. Overall we were very happy with the night. Pros: prices more

the undiscovered sports bar 1/22/2008

firefly is a great new spot for soho locals who have moved on from nightclubs and irish pubs. no matter where you stand in this place you can see at least 3 large HD 52"+ tv screens (i think i counted 10 screens). the food is great and resonably priced, not a bad check if you make it in time for happy hour. we ended up staying for the late night, dj was good for our 28-35 aged group. Pros: best tvs to watch the game on in nyc Cons: hard to park more

Good spot for parties 12/14/2007

My company had a party here a couple of weeks ago and the space was excellent. We had a large private room, a server walking around taking drink orders and a bar just for our party. All the staff were friendly, and the food was lovely. I had been in Firefly a month or so before and the food wasn't great, but the food we had at the party was totally the opposite, I think the changes they made do alot for the place. more

Not going back... 12/7/2007

Figured we would stop in since we live in the neighborhood and it is never busy. Prices are high, food is standard pub fair, staff seems untrained, does anyone manage this place? Bring back the sushi place! Pros: Hand Dryer in Bathroom Cons: DJ, Food, Service more

Great new bar!! 11/14/2007

We held a party in firefly on Saturday night and we had so much fun!! The place is only new and it looks great! They have put up 11 large projection screens, so we'll be going there for the remainder of Football season. Pros: The Decor. the staff and its right by the 6 train more
