Great movies you cannot find elsewhere 8/19/2005

All that and a bag of popcorn 8/18/2005

Once the only indie game downtown, Film Forum on Houston street is being challenged by newcomers like tghe IFC center a few blocks uptown and thge Sunshine cinema to the east but this original is still the one to beat. The well chosen selection of current indie movies and revivals, documentaries and animations must be among the world's best. The popcorn is fresh and the downtown crowd is always great for overheard conversations. more

Indie Movie 8/14/2005

this is the place i saw my first indie movie in new york. i remeber that day, not long after september eleven, i was fresh meet in the city, and my friend grab me overthere. the movie was monson wedding, have you seen that one? i guesse it a must. a great glimp ionto forigne culture. any way the location is not so good, at list i think so. its the far end of canal street near the hulland tunnel, but hey did we plan to go to central park, we are here to watch a good movie. so soon after you step in and the light go off, you are about to experiance great time. more
