Definitely Interesting, But I Don't See Myself "Relaxing" There 5/31/2006

From the outside, it's http://www.nynyhotelcasino.com/pages/index_noflash.asp several scale-model New York buildings, and from the inside, parts look like a movie set and definitely not for a low-budget film! The place can be overwhelming, and it may be one of those places where people lose themselves for a while, as they're mesmerized by lights and decorations and attractions, until they spend every last time they have. They have a roller coaster! Also worth mentioning: they have restaurants along what resembles a couple of city blocks somewhere in New York, though the best fare is supposedly at the nearby Bellagio, a couple of acclaimed entertainment venues, and they have a "Coney Island" amusement area. more

Cranky Dealers 4/14/2006

The New York New York dealers were all very cranky one night while we were casino hoppin. We had a hard time finding a seat to sit and play, and when we finally did, we thought the dealer was rude. During the day, the arcade was fun, the kids love it, and the roller coaster all the way at the top. New York, New York has a cool feeling, and you kinda feel like you actually are in some parts of New York. more

Great time at New York New York in Vegas! 4/9/2006

We had a great time at New York New York in Vegas! We stayed right across the street at MGM Grand and could walk across the bridge over the street and go right into NY, NY. We ate at one of the restaurants (very good), rode the roller coaster (fun but bangs your head around A LOT), stopped by Coyote Ugly, and had a great time while there! more

Loud roller coaster 3/20/2006

I've only stayed at New York - New York one time. It was about 3 years ago. I cannot remember the tower that we stayed in, but it was one of the towers that faced out to the roller coaster. During the day, we were usually out shopping, so we really weren't in our room much. When we came back in the evening to shower and get ready for our night time activities, that roller coaster was so loud screeching and zooming past our room. At first we thought it was funny and then it became a nuisance. The roller coaster ran into the night until about 10 or 11. Since we were always out late, it didn't matter, BUT when we were trying to sleep in during the morning hours, it drove us crazy! If you go and stay here, make sure you request a room FAR AWAY from the roller coaster! more

Another Family Oriented Casino 3/11/2006

This is another rare family oriented casino. The casino from the outside looks like New York City. It's a great replica and also has the statue of liberty. The inside is just as great. It has a lot of activity and plenty of slots and other gambling games for adults. For the kids, they have a huge arcade. They have claw games and also games where you can earn tickets to exchange for prizes. New York New York also has a lot of restaurants to choose from. Heck, they even have ESPN zone for all the sports nuts. Make sure you stop by here if you even go to Vegas. Try your luck, you may win! more

I want to wake up in the casino that never sleeps 3/7/2006

New York New York Hotel & Casino is a good value for a hotel and is pretty darn impressive as far as theming is concerned. Take a step inside, and you might actually believe you're in a uber-clean version of the Big Apple, complete with steam billowing out of manhole covers and the corner deli. There's a decent selection of restaurants and bars, including the famous Coyote Ugly. There's a roller coaster (expensive for a single ride), a large arcade, and plenty of gaming tables to keep you busy. The rooms are pretty standard, but are clean and a decent value for their size. more

New York New York Hotel & Casino 11/29/2005

and? Yeah, so it has a roller coaster, big deal! In the sparkling city of Las Vegas, properties must be unique, luxurious and amazing to stand out. Look at the competition! NY, NY is none of these. As we arrived, they informed us they had overbooked the hotel and made us (my entire group of rooms) stay at another casino the first night (how I love to unpack and repack) This shuttling around caused us to miss a show for which we had fantastic seats. Our rooms were very small. The whole property lacks character. Many of the restaurants were chains and overall NY, NY was pretty boring. The pros: the casino experience was better the cocktail waitresses were polite and speedy. The slot situation was good if youre into that. My advice when in Vegas, get your moneys worth - there are plenty of places to do so. more

New york...in Nevada 8/27/2005

I think this is one of my favorite Las Vegas Hotels decoration wise. They really put themselves into the new york spirit. Everything these is new york, and i think its quite cool! You walk around the Hotel and then wow, youre at the Empire State building suddenly. It really doesnt hurt that they also have a roller coaster. Just the idea of having a rollercaoster in a hotel is cool. The rollercoaster is really nothing special, dosnt really do any totally crazy loops or anything, but its still a lot of fun. Rooms are average, I didnt really see anything wrong with them, but there was nothing special either. more

Great Hotel in Vegas 8/24/2005

The New York New York is a great hotel in Las Vegas one of the best. They have this game called Sic-bo! It is the best game I have ever played in any casino! Everytime I go to New York now I live at the Sic-bo table. They are the only casino there is that has this game. It is wonderful. They also have good food and a great atmposhere. The bar Coyote Ugly was not that great in my opinon. They have a high cover charge also. I would have rather stayed playing Sic-bo! The rooms are really great also and you can get some pretty good rates sometimes. They also have an awsome roller coaster. more

fun place 8/23/2005

my parents love to stay here because they have a restaurant downstairs that share's our last name! That's not the only reason, as the New York New York has a lot to offer. Rooms are standard and are a great value for the price. There are a variety of food options downstairs and also has a great location on the strip. The roller coaster is $10 (they give you discount coupons if you stay there) and so much fun that it might actually be worth it! It's a great ride. more

Great hotel with lots of fun things to do! 8/18/2005

New York New York Hotel and Casino has so much to offer both locals and tourists. Inside the hotel you will find a roller coaster that goes both inside and outside of the hotel. It has two loops and offers a lot of excitement. The hotel itself is built to look like the skyline of NYC. There are many restaurants and shops for everyone to enjoy. more

Fun roller coaster! 8/16/2005

The roller coaster at the New York, New York Hotel in Vegas is a great little coaster. It's fast and has loops and twists. It's a great activity to take a date to or to go to with a group of friends. The biggest problem with this coaster is the price. It's way too expensive for a single ride on a coaster. If you buy the unlimited rides/day pass then it becomes a decent value. It's definatley a fun ride, though. more

Manhattan Express 8/9/2005

The Manhattan Express roller coaster at New York-New York is a ton of fun. It is a pretty long ride, even though your speeding around the track. It has loops and all sorts of turns. Who doesn't love a roller coaster. It is a little expensive but everything in Vegas is expensive today. It costs $12.50 to ride this ride. more

New York New York Hotel & Casino 8/5/2005

The New York New York Hotel & Casino is an awesome establishment. It is modeled after New York City and is extremely detailed, from the Brooklyn Bridge down to the Statue of Liberty. The roller coaster here is one of the best in town as well. The food court here is fabulous. Again, it is modeled after New York City, with small pizza shops here and there, sewers with steam rising from them, the whole deal! If you want to go to New York without actually going there, the New York New York Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas is your best bet. more

spin around in the roller coasters 7/8/2005

This place would actually make you feel like you are in New York. They even have a Statue of Liberty in front of the building. The best thing is, they have a big roller coaster. It's really fun riding on it and they even take pictures of you while you ride. The rooms are really nice and you won't be bothered with the noises from the roller coaster. They have a big arcade and there's a lot of great shows. The best show would be the Lord of the Dance. It's really fun to watch. more
