I was browsing on your site and came accross Janis Chakler Skin Care. Convenient location for me, and...what a surprise, this lovely salon located on the west end of Chestnut St. Very intimate, beautiful salon. I booked an appointment for a facial the next day and had the surprise of my life...the best facial. The treatment immediately showed results. This place actually does extractions!!! My face looked amazing after the treatment. I will recommend to all my friends. I bought several gift certificates for Christmas gifts. What a find!! Skin Care at it's Best 12/3/2003

I have been to a lot of Salon's and Janis Chakler Skin Care is by far one of the very best. Very intimate environment, clean, amazing treatments. My skin always feels great when I leave. Janis is not pushy with products either. Take a look at her skin. She looks at least 10-15 years younger than she is. What a great find. Janis is the ""Diva of Skin Care"". I got her name from the City Search Site, and it was the best decision I have made for my skin care regime. She is very knowledgeable about skin care and very through. The best extractions that I have ever had. I will be back. more

Great Referral 12/1/2003

My friend has been going to Janis for years and gave me a gift certificate for my birthday. At first I was reluctant to try a new place but now I am so happy that I found her. My skin looks and feels amazing, even though it is winter. Her knowledge of the products is so great and you can tell that she is passionate about good skin. My only regret is that I did not go to her sooner. more

While Janis seems to be knowledgeable about skincare, I found her customer service skills to be lacking. I have gotten two facials from her and both times I felt like she was rushed. She also leaves the room a lot - to answer the door, meet the UPS man, talk on the phone..... For the rate she charges, I believe she should be able to hire a receptionist. I won't be back. more

that is the best way to describe my skin after being in Janis' hands!!! I've always been plagued with troubled skin and have tried all kinds of products and treatments but without results...that is until now. I have been getting facials for a long time, and Janis Chakler gives the best!! She is very skillful and knowledgable. Her place is great. I feel like I am in someones home. Very cozy atmosphere. What's unique about Janis Chakler Skincare is the boutique quality of the salon--contrary to other neighborhood spas, Janis is able to concentrate on you as an individual instead of just another appointment; she makes you feel instantly relaxed, and immediately comfortable which is great for your soul and fantastic for your skin. I thought so highly of my microdermabrasion facial that I recommended Janis to my mother who is now a client, and loves Janis! Also, instead of pressuring me to buy products, Janis let me sample a few different things until I found what was right for me, which I appreciate because I am on a budget but want great skin. I have been to many spas in SF and I can confidently say you will absolutely not regret coming to Janis--she is a true diamond in the rough! Definitely the best facial in San Francisco. The salon is beautiful & has a great intimate/boutique feel. Janis is very skilled and the extractions are virtually painless & I never had the post-extraction blotchiness. I love the Really Radical facial, my face was left glowing for days. Janis is also very knowledgeable when it comes to products but not pushy. THIS IS SAN FRANCISCO'S BEST KEPT SECRET. more

An amazing place to get a facial. I have been to 77 Maiden Lane, Yoshis, Elizabeth Arden, Frederic Fekkai, Bliss, and Janis is far bette. She gives the BEST facials. She is really careful and thorough. I love the Pevonia products she uses-- completetly cleared up my skin. All of my friends go to her and we are all now using Pevonia products too.
