Simply Wonderful 11/5/2004

I have been going to Janis Chakler Skincare for quite some time. The salon is very cozy, not like a huge factory. You get specialized treatment in this salon. The salon is now offering waxing, including Brazalian Bikini. My wax was with Felicia, and she was great. Now I can do my one stop beauty day. All they need now is mani/pedi!! Hint Hint. more

Janis Chakler Skin Care is the best for facials, brazalian waxes and great products. Very knowledgeable staff, clean, your skin looks amazing after the facial. My brazalian with Felicia was great. No strays, and almost painless. Highly recommend this small, intimate place. more

Love my Brazilian 10/27/2004

I had my first Brazilian wax here. It was a great experience. They use a very gentle wax, so the pain wasn't too bad. The place is very clean and is very cute. Great location. Ask for Felicia. She does great brows too. Pros: Great Wax, Great Location more

I came to Janis Chakler Skin Care on City Search recommendation. My facial was with Felicia, she was awesome. Very precise. Extractions were not too painful. My skin looked and felt great. This is a great find. I highly recommend. Pros: Clean, Relaxing, Great treatment more

Janis Chakler Skin Care is in my neighborhood, so I decided to check it out. Janis is so personable and sweet. She explained the different facials to be and even gave me a complimentary consultation to find the perfect facial for me. The one we did was the Vit C facial. A friend told me about Janis Chakler Skincare. I have been going for monthly facials to a well-known downtown salon. My friend spoke so highly of Janis that I decided give her a try. What an amazing facial, from the foot massage, to the incredible face and shoulder massage, to the head massage. I felt like I was in heaven. I have tried the great, good, and not so bad salons in the city to give myself an idea of what SF has to offer. However, I have now found ""the horrible"" and will never let JC lay her hands on my eyebrows ever again!!! Based on the posted raves about her salon I took a friend along with me, and sad to say, JC didn't make us feel comfortable or even confident that she knew what she was doing when it came to waxing eyebrows. She criticized my friend's eyebrows for not being a certain shape and left mine unclean, which I had to clean up at home. Granted she is hailed as a great skin technician, yet let this be a warning that she hasn't the slightest clue when it comes to eyebrows. Pros: quaint, quiet Cons: , nervous vibe more

I must say that this place is so cute and the services are amazing. I had a facial with Janis, and she was so great. She really now's her stuff. My appointment began on time, she is very thourough. I went to this salon upon the recommendation of a friend, what a treat. Janis is very knowledgeable about the skin. There are many wonderful spa's in San Franicsco to go for facials, but I think I've finally found a place that gives one of the best. Janis Chakler really knows skin and products. I don't think I've gotton a more thourough facial. My skin looked amazing after the treatment. Not red or blotchy, and she did a lot of extractions. I get great facials here. Maria was my therapist. She was trained by Janis and boy was she great. I have gotten facials from Janis before and wanted a facial on a Sunday, so Janis suggested I try Maria. I had the facial that smelled like mint and lavender and it left my face radiant. Janis Chakler know's skin. I had one of the best facials at her intimate salon. My skin looked great, no redness or blotchiness. She doesn't push products, but she will tell you what not to use.
