Never can tell for sure (without some culture at the hospital, I guess) whether some food or other is the cause of old/unfit food. But after having gone through the same thing just a few weeks earlier in Portland, OR I'm reasonably sure my son suffered from f.p. by eating the mac 'n' cheese at FATS.
I tried a bite myself and the m 'n' c had seemed a bit like it was reheated leftovers. Not bad tasting. Just kinda dried up in places.
And, to be as polite as possible, the stuff my son brought up was definitely that food.
I don't know how a stomach can digest food that's been eaten after an offending item has been and, kinda like a dog can eat everything in a mouthful of chili and then p'too out out the beans one by one, hold the bad stuff off to the side for later regurgitation BUT IT CAN.
Anyway, sorry to gross you out.
The bbq pork was very good - slightly less smoky than Buddy's. The sauce is good also. The slaw was a little too mayo-y for me but still good.
The chicken bbq seemed like reheated left-overs to me as did the mac 'n' cheese.
The lemonade had a strange cleaner-like flavor to me. Maybe just my imagination.
Very large portions.
If strictly speaking for my own experience/meal I'd give FATS a solid 4 stars. But since I'm responsible for the kids in my family I'll have to say that I won't be going back any time soon.
Pros: Nice, soft meat, tasty sauce; friendly service
Cons: mac 'n' cheese had my son throwing up that night
