Fast-Fix Jewelry Repairs

They ruined a precious a ring I had after I paid them almost $200 for them to place a loose stone into a setting. They also botched sizing the ring. I took the damaged ring to a jeweler and they were shocked by what they did. They said I should report them. I now need to take pay even more money to have my ring fixed. They also have questionable business practices: Why do they require your home address if they fix the item on the spot? Why do they take your receipt once you pick up the item so you have nothing to prove the work they did, and why do they require you pay upfront before they fix an item? Dreadful, depressing experience. more

We had a pair of very expensive champagne flutes engraved here. BIG mistake! They said that their engraving services were guaranteed and, since we needed them done that day, we decided to take a chance. They messed up the engraving on one of the glasses and, even after admitting that it wasn't done well, they refused to do anything. The charge for the engraving was almost as much as the glasses cost and they could have easily bought a new set and re-engraved them. But apparently their guarantee doesn't cover this issue. Not sure what it does cover as they would not give us a copy of the work order which has their guarantee on it. They gave us no other choice but to dispute the charge on our credit card but, because we could not get the required documentation, they won. I can't speak for their other services, but I would not recommend their engraving services for any item. Don't make the same mistake we did .... go somewhere else! more

Whenever I have a problem I take it to Fix-It. This is the only place where I can find longer leather watchbands. We had a diamond reset....the only place that could do it same-day. Today they molded the bowl of my heirloom baby spoon back into a spoon shape and made the one that went through the garbage disposal look pretty good again. They always have the right watch battery.... those aren't cheap anymore, no matter where you go. Fix-it has been at the mall for 10 years....a GREAT location that's convenient! more

This little stand in the center of Alderwood Mall seems harmless enough, until you get the bill for their services. A simple battery exchange took 40 minutes on a quite afternoon and the charge was $27.00! This is far more expensive than any other local repair shops and you certainly pay for the convenience of one-stop-shopping. In the future I will certainly make an extra trip to a competitor that charges fairly for their services. more
