The Far East Market is the largest – and the only – Chinese grocer in the Huntsville area, and it’s grown within the past couple of years. Not only do they offer Asian foods, condiments, and snacks, but they’re also a cheaper and sometimes fresher alternative for vegetables and fruit than the neighborhood grocery chain. The owners are Chinese and do not speak great English (most of the customers are Chinese as well or at least Asian), so language difficulties may arise. The food and prices often make the trip worth it though. It’s certainly a closer option than trekking all the way to Atlanta or even Birmingham for Asian goods.
