This place ripped me off financially! My daughter age 13 walked in and was already in a chair getting her hair cut/trimmed by the time I walked into the salon with my son, about 5 minutes later. My daughter's wavy hair was only half sprayed with a water bottle, then about 5 inches was trimmed off the bottom, straight across; and the bands were trimmed. No big deal. Her hair was not even shampood, blow-dried or styled. I was charged $21.95 for just the cut. I called the next day, as a new customer, and spoke with a gentleman, who asked a co-worker how much for a haircut. He was told $13.95. It was worse than I thought. I went into the salon and asked for an adjustment according to what I should have been charged. The one lady who had been there the day of, said it should have been $16.95 for a shampoo, cut and dry. They still didn't want to make it right though. She called the manager, who also did not want to make it right. The claim was that my daughter has thick hair like an adult. Uhmm, hello, she is 13, has slightly wavy hair, had no shampoo or dry, just cut straight across in all of about 15 minutes. Beware of this place; they don't post their prices and want to charge you whatever they feel like (they can get away with.) We will never walk into another Fantastic Sams again. The regional of the Houston, TX area has made it very clear that they have no control over what each franchise does and how they conduct business. If they want to operate this way, it is up to the individual owner. I did everything in my power to gain reconciliation on this incident without success. I am convinced this is a salon that does not want to get on the up and up. I hate to even give it one star since litteraly financial I was robbed. This is bad business!!
