nice cafe to just sit back and relax 4/18/2006

Fantasia is one of the original boba shops in the Bay, and it's still clicking strong after all these years, while other franchises (Tapioca Express, Quickly, Lollicup) are disappearing quicker than MBZ hood emblems. The drinks are not the best around, but what the people come back for is the ambience. The perfectly positioned (feng shui approved) corner lot provides ample lighting and plenty of room for clientele to enjoy themselves. Of all the tapioca shops I've been to from the Bay to LA, few can rival the feeling of homeliness and overall comfort of this place. Most of all, it is most definitely the "in spot" for the local parachute kids (HK, JP, KR, TW) to kick it, so you know there is plenty of eye candy abound to satisfy your every need. The staff should probably receive numerous violations from the Smile Police, but other than that, they are very friendly and helpful, not looking down on noobs who ask tons of questions about certain drinks. more

PMT/ boba place 4/1/2006

Great place to hang out and relax. Though it might be a little noisy, but the drinks are nice. I personally think the food there is mediocre, even the "main course" foods are like side dishes, perhaps appropiate for lunch. the service is ok, sometimes it takes a while for you to place your order because there isn't enough people to man the cash register and make the drinks at the same time. more

Great Drinks 10/19/2005

If you're in cupertino or eating at Cupertino Plaza you have to try Fantasia. They have locations all over and this is just one of them but it's great. They have boba of all kinds. They also have many hot drinks and special asian drinks in their little open refrigerator area. I have been to many bad boba places but this is NOT one of them. The way they make the balls are great, chewy but not to soft. They also have a large selection of flavors. more

Fantasia Cafe 8/26/2005

Fantasia is an Asain cafe that offers the usual coffee, tea, and pearl milk tea. What makes this place so special is the quality and selection of all their drinks. This place is great as a late night drink or a hot afternoon respite. I found Fantasia's pearls especially soft and fresh. Their milk tea flavors were great, and their coffee is of fine quality. I highly recommend the Fantasia cafe to anyone who likes Asain-style drinks. more

asian boba cafes ought to trample starbucks 8/8/2005

chuck that frapp, if you have any taste in coffee or tea drinks visit your nearest asian boba café instead of that corporate coffee megamart! in the bay area, fantasia is the best chain all around. they have the best blended drinks. they have great warm drinks as well. the only thing they're missing is a good, blended green tea drink. in any case, it seems the korean cafés have the one-up over the taiwanese or chinese joints on this one. luce on el camino real in santa clara has the best blended green tea latte. bosion fusion in san josé's valley fair also makes a decent green tea blended drink. at fantasia, try the mango freeze, the lychee freeze, the red/green bean drinks. then again, were you looking for a _coffee_ joint? no problem, the baristas at fantasia can pull you up a nice espresso drink that beats the khakis off of starbucks any day! more

just found out 7/13/2005

I actually just found out about this place and I'm so glad you asked the question because I was looking for a new coffe place myself. I'm not very experienced at this place but I do know it has some original drinks, its totally not like Starbucks or Peets. They have drinkwith really good flavors like mango, etc and they still have the coffe theme. I think you should check it out more
