Family Dollar

I'm not a huge fan of dollar store type products but this store has a much wider sellection of things that I actually like or want than I am used to with other dollar stores. You can buy brand name shampoos and such for a dollar or 50 cents. I like to buy dollar store items to pass out to the kids on Halloween. more

I usually fill a big ole stainless steal bowl with various kinds of the "good candy" and hope no one comes by. JUST KIDDING. There was one year though in the past when I gave out raisins but I stopped that when so many of the little ones said, "Oh yuk! Raisins." I figured after that, it's only one time of year and if they were out trick or treating, their parents obviously knew where they were and I'm sure the kids "expected" to get candy and their parents probably went through their bags like I went through our daughters. Our daughter never liked eating the candy, she just liked "getting it" and she'd eat a piece or two every now and then. When she got married, her husband worked part time filling those vending machines with toys so they always had a bunch of those little toys around. They gave out those toys at their door. Kids LOVED getting toys. They especially loved Yo-Yo's and Slime, like those little plastic balls with slime inside. They were a BIG hit. Girls loved stickers and plastic rings/jewelry which you can get at the Family Dollar Store. more

This store was well-organized and maintained! They had a great variety of products, for cheap, one-stop shopping! The employees were very helpful, as well! I found a lot of clothing, items for my home and garden, cleaning supplies, and even food! It is definitely a store I intend to frequent often! more
