I was shopping on the internet for a car for my son who lives in Rockledge. I called from Kuwait to get some additional information and the phone operator took all the time with me necessary to answer my questions even though I was calling from so far away. I went shopping for a car today not expecting to buy but I found a great deal at Family Auto Mart. Easy financing and a great price. I called Family Auto Mart off of an add on the internet. The phone opperator told me that none of the cars I was looking for were still there but that they had others. After talking to her I decided to make the trip anyway from Orlando. I was glad that I did. I found something very similar to what I was seeing on the internet on their lot for close to the same price. Got a great deal on a real nice car. more

This is the worst place i have EVER been too! I purchased a car & 25 min later it broke down! So i took the car back. The next day they called & told me that they had fixed the car and if i wanted to take it 24 hrs i was able to do so. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and drove an hour once again too get the car & to have a mechanic look at it. Needless to say it broke down AGAIN! Never again will I ever go back! They are the WORST place that i have ever been to! more

Good: First i drove all the way from vero beach because they had cheap cars! Come to find out most of the cars they had on their website were NOT on lot! Thats what brought me in in the first place. They put cheap prices on their website but wow so NOT true!!!!So after a long day of negotiating what car payments i can afford and what i could not afford && over hearing. Bad: how angry a pregnant women was when the vehicle that she had just purchased broke down on her, i still decided i wanted the car. Literally 25 minutes after i drove of the lot the car broke down!!!! The man wanted me to wait 30minutes for a tow truck,, im already late for. I had my boyfriend drive me back to family auto mart. Before i could get there the man called me back rushing me back so his little tow truck driver could leave!. Improvements: THIS IS THE WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN TOO && WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE UNLESS YOU WANNA GET SCREWED!!. more

I really wish I would have seen these posts before I considered purchasing a car from these scum bags. I live in Gainesville Florida and was looking for a new car on cars.com. I ran across a Toyota they had for sale. It was priced about the same as they were going for on Ebay. My father passed away a few years ago and caused my credit rating to drop. I financed a $35,000 car about 10 years ago and never missed a payment. I saw this as an opportunity to help build my credit back up. I call to try to make arrangements since I will be driving 3 hours down there. They looked over my credit report and told me that I was approved for financing. They told me to bring $1000 cash and they would finance the remaining $5,000. Everything seemed great I bought a new insurance policy and they told me everything was good to go. So I get rental car and drive down there to purchase it. As soon as I get to the Titusville store Bob Brooks the man I had been dealing with on the phone is very rude (especially considering I had just drove 3 hours) The car was nothing as it was stated in cars,com. It was very obvious it had been in an accident, it had been keyed, it was not mechanically sound (timing belt was off, bed serpentine belt and alternator, the inside smelt of filth, and the car had several rust spots). I told him I was going to check out another dealership which was the family auto mart in Melbourne. I drive 45 minutes to them and they are just as bad. Dave the Wolfman tired t sell me a car that was $2,000 over blue book value. I talked him down to the actual value of the car. So at this point when he calls to get financing he tells me there is a $4,000 financing fee and they the finance rate was close to 25%. So I drive back to Titusville and by this time Dave must have tried to call Bob because he tires to run the same crap on me. He now wants a $2,000 more down payment what he told me over the phone before I drive all the way and ups the price another $4,000 as well Bob tried to blame it on my credit score he tried to tell me I was in the worst classification of credit, which I found very funny because I have credit monitoring and know for a fact it is over 150 points higher than whathe told me. I confronted him about it and he told me they use a report I probably didnt have, which is funny too becuase I have reports for all 4. They treated me as a piece of crap and lower class person, they lie and will cheat you. I have no reason to try to deface anyone for any reason but I just don’t want anyone to get taken advantage of. I also urge everyone on this site to report them to the Better Business Bureau if you have been cheated as well. I guess these people thought that since I was so avid about the car and really went out of my way they could try to sell me anything. I only hope that this helps at least one person from being cheated. I urge you not to buy a car from these people They have no integrity, honesty and morals. But you know it will all come back on them some day. more

Wow, they must have seen me coming. I walked in, newly divorced and purchased not one, but two vehicles from them. I traded in a loaded Yukon for a Jimmy which ran beautifully until a week later. When i brought it to my mechanic, he said it wasn't worth fixing and ended up trading it in and paying an extra 6K which I had to borrow. The second purchase was worse....I was to find a safe car for my 16 year old daughter and she fell in love with a Sebring. She was done looking, this was the car she wanted. Made the deal and within 3 weeks, the entire wiring harness was burnt out, causing a fire and there were 3 leaks which had to be fixed. Total bill...over $3,600. Again, I had to take out a loan. Beware of the salesmen, they are your best friend when you are looking and then hang up the phone telling you to have a nice day when you call to see if they will follow up on any issues. This issue is not over. I will seek some type of reimbursement and follow up in court if I need to. Don't make the same mistakes I did. Live and learn!!!! more

Family Auto Mart will take every penny they can from a bad credit person. They will finance you alright if you have bad credit,but you will pay for it. Auto loans require about 2-3 thousand down and 29.9% APR. They price of a used car ends up costing you about twice as much. Then they tell you if you pay on time for a year they will send your account to a credit company who will report good payments for you. WRONG! It's is them saying they are another company and they never report your payments. You also better make sure you don't switch insurance companies either. They pick up a car from a friend we know when they changed insurances and didn't get the paper work in time. THen charged them $250 for repo fees even though they did nothing wrong. Don't get me wrong they have SOME(very few) nice cars, but if you buy get your own financing. more

My friend purchased a vehicle from Family Auto Mart and it was a piece of junk. But considering my friend did not have any credit I guess it was worth it to him. Most of these cars are beat up auctioned cars and they just fix it up and resell at a low price. Also, the commericals are annoying and obnoxious. Avoid at all cost. more

I just never come away from this dealer with a good feeling. I have never felt that I could trust I was getting a decent vehicle in good condition. Their pricing seems very high to me, and the salesmen can be very pushy. Not only are they annoying on TV, they can be just as annoying in real life. They seem to have spent too much time and energy on getting their name OUT there, and not worried so much about service and quality. more
