I actually was there yesterday and I bought a 2005 black Nissan Altima..They were very nice to me and took the time to actually entertain my 8 year old son who I brought with me...I was leery of buying from them and I told the sales guy Wayne that too...But I feel no matter where u go u always have so called pushy sales people but I didnt get that impression and he took the time to find a car I liked...I may end up being wrong...You never know but as of now I have no complaints and I hope I dont..And I hope they stick to their word cause I trusted them...They have been in our hometown for many years...You always hear good and bad about every car dealer..For now I am keeping my opinion as a good experience until proven other wise...Thank you...(Cindy) more

PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT EVER GO TO FAMILY AUTO MART!! I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE WRITTEN A BAD COMPLAINT ABOUT ANY COMPANY, BUT I MUST WARN ANYONE WHO HAS EVEN THOUGHT TO VISIT THEM!!! I drove from Orlando to buy a car from Family Auto Mart in Melbourne,FL . After I purchased the car it broke down on THEIR LOT right before taking it home. When I asked for my money back the manager "Dave" said their mechanic is going to look at the car and fix it, he also said that he wouldn't NEVER SELL A BAD CAR. The mechanic looked at the car for about 5 min and said it just needed a battery (when someone on the lot told us it was a bad fuel pump). So they replaced the battery and cleaned out the fuel tank. Before leaving "Dave" the manager told me if the car broke down again with the same issue that he would have it taken care of. Two days later the car broke down again. I towed it to my mechanic and the entire fuel pump unit was a JUNKYARD part and it was no where near what it should have been. I contacted "Dave" at family auto mart and he said he would only pay a portion of the cost to fix it, I had to come up with the rest of the money. I Paid $200 out of my pocket to fix something they told me they would fix. One week later the transmission blew in the car, avg. transmission ($2000). I towed the car to family auto mart at my own expense, because that is was "Dave" and his co worker "Edwin" instructed me to do. They have been holding my car for 3 WEEKS, and every time I called in the first week they kept telling me their mechanic was extremely busy. Then week two they told me that I would have to pay $850 to fix it. Furious, I refused because they sold me a junk car that I drove less then 1 week. I asked for my money back the refused, so I also asked to be placed into another car. I even offered to let them keep the taxes of $675 I paid on the car if they gave me back my down payment of $1700! They refused everything . I HAVE CONTACTED MY ATTORNEY AND I WILL BE SUING UNDER FLORIDA LEMON LAW! PLEASE WARN EVERYONE !!! more

I spoke to these people on the phone before I drove 80 miles in the anticipation of purchasing an economical vehicle. I asked about a specific SUV on the phone and was told that it had sold but there were plenty of other SUVs in the same price range. When I to the dealership, it was difficult to find someone to help me. Finally a man came out who seemed annoyed that he actually had to get off his behind to see if I needed help. None of the vehicles were priced so I said I was interested in an SUV in the price range I had discussed with the man on the phone. The man at the dealership said, "Oh we don't have any of those anymore. We have all of these right here and we can finance them for you." Each of the SUVs that he pointed out to me were priced at $8,000 to $10,000 more then what I was quoted on the phone. I told him this and he replied, "Well we do have one in that range. Its that little Kia in the back. But its engine doesn't run right." I was very upset. I felt lied to, taken advantage of and extremely disrespected. It was like they thought I am just a stupid woman that they can talk into buying any vehicle they try to sell me. I have seen similar SUVs for much less then the price they are selling them for. If I had know that the internet price and the phone quote were just a scam designed to lure people in to the dealership so they could pull a bait and switch I would have never wasted my time and gas to the Family Auto Mart. DON"T TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP. THEY ARE LIARS AND SCAM ARTISTS!!!! more

I called them about 4 times in advance , they swore up and down that the cars they had listed on the internet were there for my price range, I told them to be honest since I was going to drive 150 miles one way, sure enough it was all a gimmick to get me in there, folks don't go there unless you desperately need financing, listen to me everyone--stay on Craigslist!! The sales people were nice but I didn't go there to make friends. If you live close by go ahead and go in, other than that the cars on the web like the Hondas Altimas, etc up to 5K are not really there, the millions of cars they said they have in stock is also a big lie..you have been forewarned more

Spoke with "unbelievable Dave" over the phone where he assured me of the price of a vehicle and told me that I would be able to take that vehicle home with my down payment and credit no problem. Drive to their dealership 2 hours later and he acts like he didn't even know who I was and says no one told me that with that much down I would be able to drive that care. 4 hours of my life wasted driving to a den of crooks and liars. more

The guys were so awesome at Family Auto Mart. They helped me with everything, and I got a Jeep Liberty that I soooo love. You guys ROCK !!!! more

I called alot about the ads then they told me to come in it will be worth it. I was so glad I did, it was really worth it. I found my dream Altima and it's a beautiful car and they financed me without having any credit. more

I bought 2 cars from them in the 1990 when they were small and was very pleased, i had moved away and when I came back, I went to them to buy another and I told the salesman I only had 500 downpayment, he told me since I had purchased auto's in the past that they would accept a lower deposit, But what they did was have me sign all the paperwork and then they took the remaining deposit that was listed and put it with tax,tag and title..So they would not give me my title..eventually they had too because their temp tag ran out, so they told me if I paid a small amount they would give me my title. Well they did, but that night they repossed the car and made me pay an extra 50$$ to get my stuff back that was in it. I would not recommend them to anyone!!!! Korine Vining more

Bought my first car at Family Auto Mart . I had no credit and no-one seemed to be able to help me with the amount I had to put down. Got a nice Hyundai Sonata with decent miles at a great price. I would recommend them to family and friends. more
