I go walk nightly and each and every night I am taken in by the beauty at the top of the hill overlooking the Pier. It's truly breathtaking. The Pier was damaged badly during Hurricane Ivan, but was re-opened fully in time for July 4th celebrations 2005. The Pier is the stage for many festivities throughout the year. Fourth of July and New Years are probably the most popular. Please note dogs are not allowed on the Pier itself, but you can stroll your best friend through the park that winds alongside the beach. Make sure you take the time to stroll down to the end of the Pier. more

Breathtaking 7/20/2005

At around August at the top of the hill at at the Fairhope Pier it is so absolutely beautiful. That is where I was proposed to. That is now my favorite place to go. The view is amazing and it is something you will never forget. Down bottom around the beach there are swings and slides and then you can walk down to the end of the pier and look out at the Water with the wind blowing through your hair. It is a lovely place to visit and I would love to see it much more! more
