Cruel teachers 1/17/2013

I went to Evola for two years and the teacher I had (I won't name her name) was horrible to me. On several occasions, I caught her talking badly behind my back with other parents. The worst part is she was a psychiatrist, why kind of psychiatrist does that? There were times she would cut into my class time with other students and then go outside and talk to other people and never gave me extra time. I was paying for 22 minute classes. I stopped going there and now I have a better and much more supportive teacher. That teacher at Evola hurt my confidence as a singer and as a person. I am not a person who has natural born talent and I had to work at it and I am mad I wasted two years there. Do not go here. There are better places and teachers out there so you or your children don't have to experience what I did. more

Great Sales Staff! 6/9/2009

Every time I shop at Evola, I am extremely happy with how comfortable I am with the staff. The environment is not stuffy, like other places, and the staff talks to you like you are a real person, and not a robot being forced to do their job. They seem as if they enjoy their jobs. What a concept? I will continue to shop at Evola for years to come. more

A $20 lesson too much 6/6/2009

Complaining about a $20 lesson makes no sense to me. The teachers are college graduates and often have advanced degrees or are working on advanced degrees. Then I ponder...how much does it cost to have a massage,manicure or pedicure from someone with no degree who has not put a lifetime into nearly daily training/practice and then paying/studying and working for a college degree??? It's all a matter of values.... more

Bad deal 1/6/2009

Yes they will do everything possible to get the sale. Sold me a baby grand and stated the value would hold. When I asked them to repurchase they required us to pay $110 for an appraisal. After appraisal they said they would pay 45% of appraised valued. They reneged and said they would only pay 20%. They again reneged and said they would only take it on consignment. They again reneged and said we had to pay for repairs (what repairs) it was appraised at perfect condition. They will just lead you on. Really poor sales and company ethics.. more

First they sold us a babby grand for $7,000 and said it will hold its value. I ask them to buy it back and they insisted on paying $110 for an appraisal. Paid them for the appraisal and they said (based on nearly perfect condition) they'll give us 45%. I said ok then they reneged and said they will give us 20% of its value. They reneged and said they will take it on consignement. They reneged and said we need to pay for repairs (whayt repairs?). It just goes on. Joe Davidson is in business to RIP YOU Off. more

Expensive lessons, not very helpful staff 8/13/2005

I went there to look in to taking lessons. It was like pulling teeth to get the receptionist to even talk to me. Apparently they didn't want my business. On top of that, when I finally did get to talk to her, the lessons were VERY expensive.. like $20 for a half hour. No way! I'll look elsewhere. more
