Amazing Food, but the service could use some work! 9/9/2010

My mom has been taking me to Eve's for as long as I can remember. I think the food is exactly the same as before. The zeps are amazing.\r \r I do agree that the staff is very rude and pushy, but they have been that way for as long as I can remember.\r \r Please givce them a chance. more

You could get treated better at Gratersford Prison 3/17/2010

I never ran into anyone that deals with customers with such a bad customer service skills as the big one that looks like Andre the Giant that stands 4 ft tall. Her soul job is to stand at the register and collect the customers cash but all she does is stand there and gives ever customer that walks in the door the evil eye. If it was me I would be treating ever customer like they are royalty and and save my money to invest in my looks and that will take awhile. She's not fit to haul trash for JP let alone making a sandwich. Stay out of that dump. I never seen a business write there own review. Pros: I tried but nothing gets passed bad services Cons: customer service more

To all you Eve's whiners.... 1/22/2010

To all of you that gave Eve’s a bad review, you are morons. It’s really good and that’s why they are rude to you. They do not need your business. Another reason why they are rude to you is because there is a line out the door and you are asking for extra ketchup or can you cut my sandwich this way. Order the steak and get the F out of the way. You want to see rude go to Pat’s or Geno’s. If you take more then 6 seconds to order they tell you to get the F out of here. Just because the people at your job kiss your ass all day doesn’t mean the people at the sandwich shop should. So next time, order, pay, and leave. We all do not want to hear you whine about how you weren’t treated with respect at the sandwich shop. No one is special in a sandwich shop except for the person making you the most incredible meal in a 15 mile radius. Pros: great food Cons: lame customers more

Still Really Good 5/18/2009

Ok..after reading a couple of these reviews I gotta say I am a little surprised about the negative ones..the food tastes the same as it does at the older store..and now they have fries..and the new store is a lot nicer. I have gone there regularly for about 10 years and so do a lot of people I know. a lot of the staff has been there a while and are really fast. If you go in during the day get the girl with the backward hat to make you a sandwich and if you go in at night..there is this Italian looking girl, with a V cut shirt that makes a great cheesesteak..The tuna is a real hidden gem on the menu, you can't get a better one around..the place has been around a very long time and once you eat there you will know why. Pros: fast service during lunch, good food, new store, more

The end of an ERA 1/6/2009

food is not the same, the service is like mcdonalds rude, what more can you say about this run down unswept sandwhich shop...i will give them one more chance why isnt eve's the same? cheaper product? more

Rude STAFF...crazy rude! 8/26/2008

I went there for a new experience, what I got was an oily cheese steak and a bunch of teenie boppers that couldn't care less about you or your money.\r The little italian girl with pony tail looked like she was being held captive she was so miseralbe. They didn't accept cash, which is fine. But she had satisfactory smirk on her face when she ordered me to go to the 7 Eleven down the street and didn't have to take the order.\r It was really rediculous. Stick with Primo, or Via Veneto, they know you need nice people to make a business work. I don't recommend it at all. Cons: VERY RUDE Staff more

Rude, Obnoxious Staff - a must miss! 7/18/2008

I went to Eve's today for the first time and I could not possibly have had a worse experience. I tried calling but to no avail before driving from King of Prussia. I easily called 20 times and got only a busy signal. Frustrating, but not nearly as horrendous as what I was in for. When I arrived, I went to the sign that says ""Order Here"" thinking that I was supposed to order there. WRONG! Apparently you pick up orders where it says order and order where it says pick up. Well, since I didn't bring my Eve's to English dictionary, I was scolded by one of the sandwich makers for daring to try to order where the signs point me to. I pointed this out to here, and not even in a rude way at all, and she literally hollered at me to go to the back of the line. When she did this, every single person in the restaurant turned and stared at me as if I were a serial killer. So, instead of getting in the line that was 40 deep, I chose to put my dunce cap on and retreat to Primo's Pizza down the street, where I got great service and great food and didn't have to be humiliated in front of 100 people. Well, the joke is on Eve's because I was picking up lunch for a large group of people in my office and they missed out on a lot of business. Cons: rude staff, overpriced and overrated food more

NOT WHAT IT USED TO BE 3/31/2008

I used to crave an EVES zep! Oh man, the roll was the freshest roll you ever ate, the over abundance of onion and oil with crushed hots just made it the BEST sandwich ever! I prefer mine with chips inside for added crunch! Well the old location closed and it took 4EVER for the new loc to open. Once it opened we RAN there (literally) - it was a horrible experience! It seemed like no one knew what they were doing! The line was out the door and didnt move..... it was so unorganized and I believe the prices even went up! I dont know if they are getting rolls elsewhere or they were just stale but there is no way that wa an original EVES zep! Im disappointed and not sure if Ill return! more

Come in and visit and I promise you we will see you again. ""We don't make the best sandwiches our customers do."" more

Perfect Lunch Spot 5/31/2005

Eve's is the best spot in town. They have the ORIGINAL zep that is to die for. Throw a little hot peppers on there and now we're talking. Ah, so good!!! Pros: Price, Food more

Inexpensive, but great food, from friendly folks. 5/27/2005

A great place for an excellent cheese steak. Not trendy. A friendly little hole-in-the-wall where the local people stop for lunch. Normally have a good selection of canned soda - things you don't normally find at chains, like PA Dutch birch beer. Order a medium pizza steak with fried onions, grab a bag of chips and a soda, and enjoy a good lunch. Pros: Great philly steaks, Cheap, Friendly place more
