ESSENSE IS THE BEST IN NASHVILLE!!!! 2/16/2009

I had a full day at Essense and I loved it . I really needed it. I started with a massage with Kia. Then a facial with Miata it was lovely my face felt like it could breathe again . Last but not least a pedicure by Nichole pure bliss. I was offered chocolate covered strawberries by the therapist. Unlike the other spas this place was filled with people who really cared about your needs. I will most definately be back!!!!! Pros: The staff and quality of service Cons: THE PARKING more

If my wife likes it, I love it. I set up a ""couples"" appointment as a surprise for my wife while we visited her family in Nashville. We were both highly impressed by the charming and inviting atmosphere, the friendly staff and of course the fantastic service. If you are visiting Nashville or live there, you should definitely stop by Essence Day Spa. BTW: I garnered plenty of points with my wife. more

A few hours of heaven 5/26/2008

I was on vacation and did some searching for a spa to go to while in Nashville. I called the day before I wanted to go and they fit me in with no problem. I went for a package which included a facial, soak, and massage. This was my first facial and it felt like heaven. The soak was wonderful (I was recovering from a fall from a horse and needed the warm water and jets). I was a little edgy during the soak because I wasn't sure when to get out. The massage was perfect too. From beginnning to end, everyone was so kind, warm and friendly. The owner is a gem. We had the opportunity to talk while I was waiting for my friend to complete her massage. She is dynamic, spiritual, friendly, encouraging and a real inspiration. Her passion for a truly wonderful spa experience shows in everything she does. OPRAH, YOU NEED TO STOP HERE NEXT TIME YOU'RE IN NASHVILLE. Liked It, Loved It, Did That! 4/5/2008

I ran across an advertisement for a coupon for Essence while writing a resturant review. Bargan shopper that I am, I never turn down a deal. I'd been there before some years ago and enjoyed my treatment and wondered if everything was still the same. It was even better this time! The staff is soooo wonderful. They have a very ""familiar"" appeal. The owner is so warm and welcoming with her signature, ""You're so cute!"" statement. I've been to other spa's and had the works (as I did this time) and have yet to receive the warm feeling I get when I'm at Essence like, ""I want you around."" Everywhere else I've been--including big places like Dillards--always feels so cold. I can't say more about the staff. The service is so great. My facial was very informative and my massage was very relaxing. I even made some friends in the meditation room. I'll definately be back many times. Great Eyebrow Waxing 2/29/2008

Today was my first visit to this lovely spa and I have to say that was just wonderful! When I walked in the door, I was greeted with friendly faces, warm hellos, a heavenly aroma, gentle music and a beautifully decorated interior; the perfect combination for me to feel welcome and relaxed. Miata, my esthetician, did a fantastic job waxing my eyebrows. She was friendly, patient and very thorough. I highly recommend this spa and will definitely be back! Great Cozy Tranquil Experience! 9/15/2007

I visited this spa on September 15, 2007 and had a wonderful experience. I had a facial that was wonderful and very relaxing (Charlotte provided the service). The staff was very nice and polite. The facilities were tranquil and beautiful. Very cozy spa; not loud and overly busy like some of the spas I have visited in Chicago (Elizabeth Arden to name one). Very nice tranquility relaxation room that I could have stayed in all day. I had a delightful experience overall and will definitely return. more

day spa 5/27/2007

I went with my daughter as a gift from my son and daughter for Mother's day. It was wonderful from the word ""GO."" When I walked in, I felt welcomed and at ease. The owner was so kind, the therapist were great and they knew what they were doing and I felt fantastic when I left. I am 46 years old and I felt like I was 25 again. I will definitely go back again and this time I will take my sisters, ( I have 4 of them) and treat them to a day at the spa. It was a wonderful experience, one every woman should enjoy (at least once in her life). It was the best day spa I have been to. Thank you Essence Day Spa. Pros: Great spa, I can't say enough good about it. Cons: Bigger parking lot (but it was still good). more

Best Day a Spa could ever provide! Hence: Best DaySpa!! 5/27/2007

OK, so the experience was originally was for my mom on Mothers Day, but I went along w/ her for the ""support""(she doesn't like going places alone! Thank God on this occasion). But everyone was so sweet&wonderful...and they made you feel like you were an Oprah or Alfrie Woodard shelling out the big bucks! But the people were absolutely fantastic and w/ the owner as sweet as pie(and telling you you're the same) it made the whole experience so worth it! I loved it!! Pros: Very convenient parking more

I felt like a QUEEN! The people at Essense gave my sisters and I an experience we will never forget. We came all the way from Atlanta and were not disappointed. Our every whim was catered to and done with so much love and professionalism. From herbal tea to chocolate covered strawberries to fresh fruit to sangria, every sense was satisfied. This elegant urban spa truly met our need to refresh, renew and restore. The small stylish details is what makes this spa stand out from the rest as well. I would highly recommend this experience to all! more

A day we will never forget 7/19/2006

I am fairly new to the Nashville, TN. I actually live in Franklin for over an year. I had the pleasure of visiting essence twice and loved the care and professionalism from Keisha & the staff. I planned a "" Southern Charm Retreat"" weekend for 12 good friends to come and enjoy TN. The ladies came from NY, Phila & NJ, they were so excited to support the sister spa. Once we were there Keisha & her staff were wonderful to us. She even closed the spa to the public while we were having our spa party. Pros: The atomsphere Cons: More Parking more

When I visited this spa in July 2005, it was the best experience ever. The staff was wonderful and friendly. The atmosphere is very welcoming and calm. The owner is also a very pleasant and accomodating person. As for the massage treatments, they were excellent. I will definitely visit this spa again. more

Just what this busy mom needed 5/31/2006

What was I waiting for? My husband purchased a spa day for me as a Mother's day gift 2 years ago and last week I finally used it. What a wonderful experience. As a wife, mom of 2 under the age of 4, full time employee, and a small business owner, busy is an understatement. This day was just what I needed. I received a gift certificate to Essense and had such a fabulous time that I went again a few weeks later and paid for a friend to come along. We both had very relaxing massages and facials. The ladies are very helpful recommending products specially suited for each of our skin types. I would very much recommend this day spa to anyone who asks. more

Mere Heaven!!! 1/18/2006

I was introduced to Essense during a friends' wedding party there in August 2004...it was my first spa experience and I have been a loyal ""spa"" goer since! Darhyl is the BOMB! and the Kiesha treats you as though you have just dropped in off your throne! The skill in the massage, the atmosphere..Unbelieveable!! I LOVE this place. On every occassion, birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas, EVERYTHING, I ask for gift certificates. By the way, I need to get busy and book my next visit, I got 4 gift certificates for Christmas!!!!!
