Dough Boys + alcohol = happy tummy 1/6/2007

We've paprtied in saratoga since my 20's, and no night out drinking in Saratoga is complete until the end-of-night dough boy. Get two, and dont forget the hot sauce. To be honest, its a disgusting mix of melted cheese, chicken, and dough, but its just one of those little combos that work well and hit the spot when pizza will not do. Its not fine dining, just a little hole in the wall with a siganture product. BTW, I dont think the pizza is very good. There is a place a block down the hill (I forget the name) that has much better pizza. more

Dough Boys 3/19/2006

This place is a little hard to find but definitely worth it. They have these things called dough boys which are the whole reason we come here. They are excellent and you can not come here without trying them. They also have pizza and other food items. The place is always crowded and cramped inside, but they do have excellent food. more

More than just pizza... 8/11/2005

Esperanto (near the top of Caroline Street) is by far the best value in Saratoga Springs for cheap eats. Unlike most inexpensive places, Esperanto's food is great! Burritos, jambalaya, chicken curry, and good slices await you. The best value is the doughboy, a chicken-filled calzone that costs a mere few dollars. It is pretty small, with only 5 tables, so everything on the menu is available to go as well. They're open late, especially on the weekends, where I've seen them stay open til about 3 am or so. The perfect place after a late night at the Caroline Street pubs. more
