Esperanto (near the top of Caroline Street) is by far the best value in Saratoga Springs for cheap eats. Unlike most inexpensive places, Esperanto's food is great! Burritos, jambalaya, chicken curry, and good slices await you. The best value is the doughboy, a chicken-filled calzone that costs a mere few dollars. It is pretty small, with only 5 tables, so everything on the menu is available to go as well. They're open late, especially on the weekends, where I've seen them stay open til about 3 am or so. The perfect place after a late night at the Caroline Street pubs.
