Erik Of Norway Salon Spa

I was a loyal Erik of Norway customer for over 15 years entrusting my hair with the same color specialist. I shake my head when I think of what this salon once was and what it has become. Despite that, the same color specialist would surely maintain some quality, or so I thought. Whether salon mismanagement or priority changes negatively affected her performance I'll never know. I only know during the last year of my patronage I never received the color I wanted or expected. I agree with another reviewer. It is as though she simply did whatever she wanted. The final time I ended up with a color that faded into a dreadful disaster with one color at the top and an entirely different color at the ends. This clearly needed correcting whether it was the fault of the sylist or simply the condition of my hair. When I called to schedule a corrective color she had her receptionist call and politely ask me, in so many words, not to return. I hope she enjoyed my 15 years of loyal patronage. I was just in Erik of Norway for the first time and I loved every minute. When I walked in I was greeted right away and offered a beverage. My stylist was right on time and gave me some well-thought out advice for my haircut. She was great and everyone got along and was pleasant. It is such a warm and friendly place. The stylists are very well trained and they keep up with the latest trends. The prices were not too high. You get what you pay for when it comes to your hair. I went to Erik of Norway for about 3 years - cut & color every 5 weeks. I was shocked on my first visit when my colorist asked if I had made an appointment for a cut or at least a blow-dry. I assumed that the same person would color and cut my hair, and I was wrong, so I left with no cut and wet hair. The other uncomfortable thing was the attitude in the salon. The colorists fought with each other constantly, and the people cutting hair were rushed & trying to get in as many cuts as they could - they were all very nice, but clearly in a hurry. I have been getting my hair colored/cut/styled buy Angela for about 7 years now. She is outstanding! She always knows exactly what to do with my hair to make it look awesome. I receive complements for weeks after my hair has been cut/colored. I have even had my hair done by other stylists at Erik of Norway when Angela has been unavailable...each time, I'm completely impressed. Everytime I walk out of Erik Of Norway, I absolutly love the way my hair looks. They way a person feels about thier hair style, probably completely varies on who styles it. I Highly recommend Angela. She has been doing my hair since i was in 5th grade. About 7 years now. Hair styliest all have different views and opinions, your experience at Erik, all depends on who does your hair for you. The place is way to high priced, for the work. My highlights are always a rusty color when a week goes by and they just seem not to care. For the last 2 times that I went back I get the same results. Not Happy at all:( Will be looking for a new salon, not one that is out to rob me more

I've been coloring my hair for 10+ years (highlights and/or lowlights), and I've never been as disappointed as with the results I received at Erik of Norway in Mequon. I went in to touch up the highlights/lowlights, and my stylist decided (without asking me) to change the color of my highlights and to make my hair more blonde. After a 5 1/2 hour appointment, and having my hair colored and fixed (4 separate color processes), I still don't have the color that I had when I walked in for my "touch up" appointment. Not to mention the fact that my hair is now damaged from the numerous color processes done on it in one day. I'm livid, and I would not recommend this salon to anyone without careful consideration.
