I really enjoy going to this location. Members are usually banking professionals, tribeca locals so everyone is focused on working out and not on others. I rejoined late 2008 after 7 yrs away and my intiation was waived, in fact the rep reminded me that I was formerly a member. 2009 was quiet and during lunch I was able to step away and into a pretty empty gym, classes wtih plenty of room. 2010 is a whole different story. People must have caught on and now I can not get to a class 5 minutes before without getting stepped on, glared at and stuck in a corner by the equipment. The club needs to increase the # of evening classes and include a 5:30 option. 6:30 - 7:30 classes are always crowded. On one Sunday the only good cardio morning class, I was following the instructor and two girls beside me nearly got into a cat fight over space. It was awkward. I stopped going on Sundays. I avoid certain evenings and try to go during lunch but that is not always possible. The club needs to re-assess the class situation. The club is pricey, with locker and laundry it is unbearable to think that I can not attend classes daily due to over-crowding!! I pay too much to skip a day plus working out is such an outlet. To be stressed at the gym maks no sense.\r

Each club is different and I appreciate the variety. The murray street location used to be a ""secret"" but now its leaked and my gym experience is getting ruined. \r

Regardless though, I would not switch to NYSC. Just need the gym's management to take note and make improvements.
Pros: Clean locker rooms, steam room, plenty of towels, Kiehl prod
Cons: This location is getting too crowded
